Finally, I didn’t think the search for a simple black case was so hard but it was. This one is very well made. It has a smooth plasticky feel, kind of like the surface of a Teflon non stick pan. Probably not the best for gripping, but if you like slick and smooth, this is it. My main like for this case is that it does NOT show fingerprints and smudges thank god. The fit is a very tight fit with no loose edges or corners. It covers the railing on the front of the phone so you do not see the metal sides, making it look very sleek. Fits my iPhone 12 very nicely. Adds a nice bit of grip to the phone. Feels much less likely to slip out of my hands with the case on my phone. Has a built up ridge around the cameras on the back which keeps the lenses off the surface when it is put down. Same on the front. I bought a much cheaper one on EBay that looked and worked fine. However it was very thin and the ridge around the camera lenses Was almost flat, and I worried that it wasn’t enough protection. Very nice case. Feels light and thin but very protective at the same time. And me bent a clean freak, this case is very easy to clean because it doesn’t leave fingerprints or oil marks. Would definitely buy this case again!
