I love this bag. It arrived right on time, decently packed. It did have a little plastic-y odor, but not as bad as I feared, and a few hours out on the clothesline in the sun cleared almost all of it. (It lost the rest over the next couple of weeks.) Even though I read the dimensions before ordering, the bag is larger than I expected, but I wanted the roominess, and the seller gave accurate measurements. I wanted a big bag! The reason I gave it 4 stars under "For Traveling" is it really is large, making it awkward in a crowded or narrow area (such as a train, bus, or plane, or at an event). It does not fit easily next to my legs in the car (even in the front) or even in an SUV. HOWEVER, it has so much thoughtfully laid out storage space inside and out that it is probably the ONLY project bag you will need to take, saving room and hassle. There is storage in the clear lid (this model also has an opaque lid that zips closed over the clear one, which is definitely worth the extra $20.) Below this, there are 5 compartments for yarn, and a larger storage compartment (for projects or more yarn), which are each sewn to the bottom of the case, so items stay where you put them, and will not slide out underneath into another area. Another nice feature is the smooth gromits (6 small, 2 large) in the clear inner lid, above the yarn compartments; handy if you are doing stranded knitting (or just want to keep your yarn in the bag while knitting). There is an open pocket on each exterior end. There is a large zippered pocket across the front of the bag, with several handy storage features in it: elastic loops for hooks/needles/pens (9 larger and 6 smaller) above a shallow pocket to keep the items from slipping out; a long, open pocket; and a vertical, zippered pocket. There is another large, zippered pocket on the back of the bag. The bag can be carried with the handles, or using the shoulder strap, which is adjustable and has a shoulder pad. The whole thing is sturdy and constructed with care and forethought. When traveling, there is room for a tablet or light laptop (the bottom of the inside of the bag is padded!), phone, e-reader, book, magazine, your yarn and supplies, and, if your project is not too big, you could even store a change of clothing and some toiletries in the project compartment, making a separate carry-on bag unnecessary. I do not know if a full bag will fit in an airplane overhead storage area - you'd need to measure it after you pack it, and compare it to the specific airline's guidelines. I bought this because I am knitting a series-accurate Dr Who scarf, which requires 7 colors of yarn (I have 2 skeins of each color). I needed a project bag with room for all that yarn, a few accessories, my pattern, and a project storage area large enough to hold a 12-foot scarf. This bag provides all that, and more!

The media could not be loaded. Working on an afgan with multiple yarns for a print pattern. My current bag wasn't big enough or have the separated compartments for multiple skeins of yarn. This works perfect. Video shows the various/ multiple components. Includes: clear / see-through comparts for easy to find items. Zippers on top, back, & front so items don't fall out. Top Clear plastic top with magnetic closure- easy access to long inside storage. Front zip to store many miscellaneous items. Removable large strap to carry with easy on off durable clips. Permanent side handles. Has just about everything you could need for a crochet/ knitting project. I love the (5) separate holders inside to hold skeins of yarn. That is what really sold me on this bag. Durable material. Clips come on and off easily. Lightweight. Options of different pretty color of choice. Zippers open & close easily. This bag is so big! And it's got little zippers and pockets everywhere for stashing stuff. I mostly do a lot of smaller projects, and this bag is comfortably large enough to store many of them at once -- as well as all the extra notions like buttons and snaps and safety eyes, etc. -- but I also love that whenever I start on a larger project like a throw blanket or a sweater, this bag will accommodate it. The grommets for keeping yarn tangle free are a nice touch, and help protect my projects from my curious kitties, without having to carefully pack everything away and then get it out again every time I want to work on a project. And the zippered pouch in front perfectly fits the organizer I bought to keep all of my hooks and needles and notions in one place (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S59GRRQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). This bag was purchased to organize the tools and accessories for my Cricut machine. I actually ordered two different bags because it's difficult to tell which one would work the best for the intended purpose. This bag was superior in quality in every way. The interior fabric is soft, (not plastic feeling), the zippers all work well, all the interior pocket dividers are sewn at the bottom, and the whole bag is sewn together well. My Cricut tools fit perfectly into the front zippered area, and are easily accessible. All glues, spray adhesives and markers have their own little cubby making them easy to find and grab. The lavender zippered pouch hold my Foil Quill tips, and the other accessories belonging to that attachment, also fit in that pocket. The large compartment holds my transfer tapes and also the ironing mat (12" x 12") for the EasyPress. It bends slightly when the top is zipped, but that's not a problem. Finally, the foils for the Foil Quill are sandwiched in between the top cover and the plastic cover. It's great to be able to grab one bag with everything in it that I need instead of making numerous trips back and forth to my craft closet. This bag was $20 more than the other bag I found on Amazon with a cloth zippered top, but it is perfect so it's the one I decided to keep. The company should consider marketing it as an organizer too!
