    • Such A Wealth of Information in an Easily Identifiable Format.
This book has been extremely helpful for me. I have had my Apple Watch for about two weeks now. I picked out this book the same day I ordered the watch. I decided that if I was going to buy the watch I was going to have to commit to really learning and taking advantage of all the features. It is a great watch, but it can be a little overwhelming. The book is certainly set up to take you from pre-purchase all the way through the very last feature, shoud you choose to read it straight through cover to cover, but it is also just as useful for picking and choosing which features you want to take advantage of first. This is possible because the author of this book assumes nothing of the reader and takes you step by step through each feature start to finish. This is what allows you to be able to skip around when using the book. It is not necessary to have read the first half of the book in order to dive into the second half. No matter which section you choose in the book each feature is approached from step one. It is not assumed that you have read the previous chapters and therefore should already know enough about one thing or another making it unnecessary to begin at point "A". Each section stands alone and is treated as such. This is also what makes this book such a powerful tool for reference as well. It is very easy to locate the feature or function you are looking for making it possible to dive right in and find it. I really appreciate the consistency. The book is laid out in such a way that you are able to follow easily along just by looking at the visual cues. For instance, tips will always be located at the bottom of the last page of each feature or function of that section. The same colors and symbols are used in each section for identification. This book is much more than just a gigantic users manual for the Apple Watch. I purchased the hard copy of the book because I am old school and like to have a physical copy of something to quickly lay hands on when I want to look something up. I am so pleased with the book and am really happy that I managed to stumble upon it in my search. I knew the watch had many features to explore and discover, and that I would definitely need a book if I was going to take advantage of all that the device had to offer. I have not been disappointed at all. Quite to the contrary. Even if you have had your watch for awhile and think you know all there is to know about, I guarantee that you don't.     • EVERYTHING explained about operating your Apple Watch, in easy to understand "visual" format.
I've purchased other "Teach Yourself Visually" books and they are far superior to the "Dummies" books for learning about any topic. . Nice quality slick paper, excellent easy to follow learning steps, and for those of us that learn faster visually are beautiful color photographs. One thing I really hate about the "Dummies" series are the numerous attempts at humor that just take up space and aren't funny. You don't get any "fluffy filler" with the "Teach Yourself Visually" series. I highly recommend these books. I've had this book for 2 days, and it appears to cover every single thing a person needs/wants to know about the operation of their Apple Watch. Be sure to review the page before the Table of Contents, titled "How to Use This Book." It gives you 6 explanations (called Conventions) with example photograph, for understanding things you find on every page, such as: what BOLD type indicates, or Italic type, or additional information or warnings Tips. I'm very demanding of my tech books, and I was pleasantly surprised that this one has a lot of good information. Easy to understand, with lots of visuals to help clarify. Quite a bit of detail, as well. I read the whole thing in a couple of days and thought it was worth the money. It provides a fairly complete understanding of the Apple Watch. Upon leaving the Mac store with a new watch most think it tells time and a few other things. But how does one learn about the the in-depth abilities? This book is a key that helps to unlock the built in potential of that watch. What sets this book apart is the illustrated step by step aproach to learning about the built in watch capabilities. This is a manual for iWatch 1. I have an iWatch 2, so not all the info. applies. Otherwise it's a great manual, great visuals, reader friendly. I rated this a 5 star for those people who don't read the lower-star reviews, which do point out this issue.
