After researching more affordable e-kits I decided to purchase the Aroma TDX-18. Everything came packed well. Here are the pros and cons I have found so far Pros: Assembly is pretty easy. The drum rack is sturdy and space saving. Overall sound of the kit is good. Pads, cymbals and pedals are durable. The module is easy to use. Comes with Velcro fasteners to organize wires. Stick holder. Cons: The hi-hat seems to be a little glitchy when closed, hopefully figure out why it does it. When playing the ride and you hit the crash it doesn’t seem to resonate loud like you think it would but it’s still noticeable. The module only comes with 16 preset kits, which really isn’t a con I suppose. I’d say the pros out weigh the cons. I did a test recording via usb cable on audacity to see how the drums would sound and they sound great. Don’t expect high end quality out of these but for the price I’d say they are worth it. So far I’m pleased with them! ... show more

Headphones went out day one. I can't hear a thing when he plays and he has room to explore the different settings and express himself freely. The best part is that I can't hear a thing. Comes with everything needed and additional capabilities for amps and other music making apps and devices.

This set was easy to set up. My teenage son was able to put it together. It is a great inexpensive choice for a beginning drum students It does not come with an amplifier, but does have the connector capability. Be sure to monitor your child’s usage when just using the headphones because turning the volume all the way up over time can hurt their hearing over time. ... show more

    • Worth it, solid construction and foldable
Sheesh i forgot to write a review! Bought this a few months ago and it's been pretty good! Very sturdy construction, very fun, not large and doesn't take up much space at allll and you can fold it up however you want. Very adjustable. Assembly was kinda hard for me, well realllllllly hard because i never assembled something like this before so i was just going crazy trying to do it right haha but it's not actually hard. I simply didn't really understand all of the clamps and stuff. One star off because mine came with a missing clamp, which is a large part of why it took so long to assemble and was so frustrating, i couldn't find one of the clamps so i was searching to see if maybe it was accidentally put on the wrong frames but nope just wasn't there. It's fine. The kit is very responsive and has a large range of different drum presets/sounds, it's very good! Not a drummer btw, but i play guitar and had been wanting to try the drums for a while now. ... show more

This electronic drum kit is the best bang for the buck I have bought from Amazon- EVER! The construction and durability is great, the drums sounds are great, and yes- you can plug your phone into it and play along with your favorite tunes. Was worth the money on day one.
