5 stars for the helmet. It adjusts well, fits well, seems safe and sturdy. 4 stars for the gloves which seem undersized and not flexible enough in the fingers to allow both braking and throttle control with the hand. The only helmet flaw is that the chinstrap is hard for the kiddo to use himself. Offsetting that deficit is the nice soft foam pads which the helmet has, under the chinstrap.
