Here’s a detailed review written in the voice of a 13-year-old for the TCL Flip 3 flip phone (4G LTE, 16 GB, dual displays, Verizon & GSM unlocked): I’ve been using the TCL Flip 3 for a little while now and it’s kinda funny using a flip phone instead of a smartphone. It’s super simple to open and close, and the dual screens are cool because I can see messages and time without flipping it open every time. Inside, the bigger screen and big buttons make texting easy, even though the screen isn’t super sharp or fancy like a real smartphone. Calls are usually clear, and the phone works on 4G LTE so it’s fast enough for calls and basic web stuff like checking email or the weather. The battery lasts really long — I don’t have to charge it every day like my friend’s phone. There’s even a basic camera so I can take quick pics, though they’re not amazing. But it’s not perfect. Sometimes apps run slow because the phone is simple and doesn’t have a lot of memory. Also, there’s no selfie camera, so selfies are pretty much impossible unless someone else takes them. And texting group chats can be weird because it doesn’t show them like on an iPhone or Android. Overall, it’s a fun phone if you want something basic, durable, and not distracting — but don’t expect gaming or awesome photos like a smartphone. ... show more

I had this phone for a couple of months now, and it has not failed me yet. The only problem I have been having is getting email, but I just wanted a basic phone, to get away from my smart phone. Highly recommend this phone.

The phone company did not tell us to look for a phone for my mother online and ended up selling her an iPhone. The only flip phone they offered was horrible. She had 3 phones in 4 months. Phone appears to be a good solid product and just what I was looking for......except for the fact that even though it is "GSM Unlocked," and being informed by the AI assistant that it was, it is NOT compatible with the Consumer Cellular network. Sadly, I have to return it.
