If you are on the fence on purchasing a TCL 60 XE I would recommend going with it. PROs: -very pretty screen, and the paper modes do wonders for reading clarity and eye strain. -Amazing battery life, I get 3 to 4 days on a single charge depending on usage. -good camera, clear picture, -price, there's a lot in this phone for it's $220 price tag -no blote, always a good thing to see. -Build quality, seems good, the camera bump is a tad big, but that seems to be standard for all phones nowadays. CONS: -bluetooth encoding. While it supports 5.3, the audio quality over Bluetooth is noticeably bad! I am no audio connoisseur, but it was bad enough that even I could tell. It does not support any HD audio formats and has bad sample rate. If you care, purchase a USB-C Bluetooth adapter like I did and use that instead, or use analog headphones. -Speakers, they are loud, but sound terrible. Very tinny sounding. Side note; I had a strange issue when wirelessly connecting to Android auto where I couldn't tap the screen on the car. Changing settings and developer options seem to fix this.

This a great phone. I love the matte screen and the nxtpaper mode is really cool. It also performes very well for a cheaper phone. I was able to install Genshin Impact and play it, the graphics are limited though. It's impressive at gaming performance at this price. The screen in my favorite part though because I am weird and hate shiny displays. There is almost zero reflection in the screen even with a light right behind me.

This seems to be the new TCL "flagship" phone. It has some nice features such as paper mode with 26 days standby, esim, supporting memory card, 3.5 mm earphone, etc. On the other hand it doesn't have wireless charging so that it's not supporting magsafe. It's made in Indonesia versus made in China and the antutu score is about the 405k. Video shooting in 720p is lousy and the sound effect of the sample is hollow and unreal. I need to further test on 1080p to see if it's acceptable. I know for a $200 range budget phone I cannot expect it to perform as good as Samsung s25 ultra. Overall a new budget phone that's worth trying.

This is a great phone for any price. I have been using it for 2 months with no issues. No lag in games or apps, nice screen great pictures. I have dropped it many times, no problems. But always use a screen protector and case. I would definitely recommend this phone.

The screen is awesome, the camera is just fine under good light conditions, it doesn't feel laggy. Fully compatible, battery life is awesome. The sound is ok. Storage is good. Having a 3.5 aux is SO GOOD! It isn't as uncomfortable granted the big screen size, not sure how they did it. I recommend using a transparent phone case.

Incredible phone for 170 dollars with the black Friday savings, I picked up the White version, I like that better than that blue option. The phone matte screen is great, movies, videos and everything looks great on the matte display, this display looks even better than my more expensive OLED boring displays, the TCL 60 XE is really fast with the 120fps and decent CPU, 8gigs of dram and 128gigs of space is awesome. The Display is not quad-hd, but it looks great, colors look awesome on the matte IPS screen. The CPU is budget but it works great with this phone, everything is fast, I ran thru app after app, I was playing videos, movies and it did not stutter, flawlessly moved from one app to the next and it opens movies and videos immediately with no delay, that is incredible for a sub-200-dollar phone. I highly recommend picking this up during the Black Friday special pricing, get the White version, trust me, it's a nice matte white color. I highly recommend the NAKEDCELLPHONE CLEAR CASE with the Screen Protector all in one, just do a search on amazon for it, its clear and protects front and back. Pros: 1. Great Value for 170 dollars 2. I love this Matte Screen 3. Colors and Movies and Videos look great on this phone 4. 120fps, incredibly fast and goes thru apps and videos with no delays 5. Love the White color option Cons: 1. Not a fan of the Blue version 2. Its not the TCL 60 Ultra 3. Not alot of case options yet

It's an interesting phone in terms of you having the ability the use it as a regular color phone (non-reflective screen), a black and white phone for less strain on the eyes, or a full-on e-ink type device for better battery life. But good luck getting phone service if you want to use the e-sim on it! The phone says it has e-sim capability and a place in settings to add one. But I tried one service - they have no record of this phone and will not allow it to be attempted. Another service? Says the IMEI number on this is "locked". Another? "No e-sim capability for this device". So it might be a nice phone if I could put service on it! Decent battery, interesting display, good price, but if you can't put phone service on it, it's basically just a small wifi only tablet. On some other "not ready for prime time" observations, though: Even when the adaptive brightness is turned OFF, the display in color mode will go dim and bright, up and down, on it's own. Even when you manually adjust it and leave it, with again, the adaptive option off, it still does this. The screen looks fine otherwise when viewing straight-on, but when viewed at even the slightest angles, it dims quickly. The phone also warms up quickly when doing even basic things for a short period of time - it doesn't get "hot", but gets noticeably warm quick. I'll update this if things change, but between the varied small glitches on this phone and the inability to use e-sim with any of the several services I TRIED to sign up for, I cannot recommend this at this time.
