    • Warranty is a joke!

I bought this device April 27th and a few days ago it started to have issues charging. (August 2023) I have always the block and cable that came with it. So I tried a brand new cable to see if it was just the charger and the brand new charger has the same issue. I have to hold the phone just right pushing up on the charger in the port I order for it to connect and charge. I took the phone in to a repair shop they checked for damage or dust and debris and found nothing they quoted me 110$ to replace the defective port. I figured I was still in warranty with TCL so I called them to see what I need to do since I have only had it 4months and there is no damage to the device. I was then told to pay 20$ to ship the phone to one of their repair places and that once received it would take a minimum of 7-10 business days to see about possibly repairing my port and then I pay for them to ship it back to me over all it could take 4 weeks or more. I explained that I can't just send my phone away for 4weeks or more and all she said was well that's how it works. Any other warranty copy I have worked with has either sent a warranty phone and you ship yours back then if it's physical damage your charges the cost of the device or they send you a temp phone and return label for you to send in your phone to be repaired. I'm so disappointed in this company I have bought many other tcl computer parts and TV's but never again I'm so frustrated with them and their so called warranty. ... show more

Great phone that works as advertised. Clear case and wall charger with cable (USB b to c) included. Battery life is excellent so far, and I enjoy the fingerprint on the power button. It was easy to swap my old SIM (Galaxy S8 on Verizon) to this and have it work almost immediately. After one reboot everything came online. All apps transferred quickly with direct phone-to-phone cable connection - just make sure they're charged! Lack of screen protection accessories is a drawback but hopefully some will be released soon. (None of the other TCLs quite match the screen size). Very thankful for the case but just don't want to scratch the face. Will occasionally slowdown on web browsing but I think that's due more to ads on the pages than anything. ... show more

I switched to TCL a few years ago. Was happy until I needed 5G service. I tried the Moto G 5G; awful awful phone. Was so relieved to see TCL had 5G phones. And it's well under $300? How can you pass this up? The other newer TCL phones are missing some features this one has. Buying a case for this phone is hard, though. *****Update: after 2 months, the problems arose and continue. Calls drop, the phone freezes, shuts off by itself, etc. If you connect to your car Bluetooth, get a call, and finish that call you can't go back to music without restarting the phone. The charging port started to erode 6 weeks into ownership. The camera shutter lags. Wi-Fi calls never really worked. The phone screen is starting to flash at random times when I get a notification. The phone is cased and well cared for. This model is not lasting nearly as long as my TCL 10 L which my kids now have and love. ... show more
