The issues I need help concealing are the under eye circles I’ve had since childhood. This is a full coverage concealer. There are two sides to that coin. It will conceal! But it can also look too fixed or become a little cakey if not applied correctly. I’m sure tons of reviewers before me have said this, but I’ll say it again. A little goes a long way. Like, I don’t even try to use the wand to apply product directly under my eye because it is going to be too much. I use the back of my hand as a palette. One dot to the back of the hand and then I use the pointed end of my damp beauty blender to pick up the tiniest bit of the product. I only apply toward the inner corner of my eyes and blend from there. This conceals the darkest areas, but still allows my face to have depth, which to me is better than perfection. I don’t generally have acne or redness, so I can’t speak to how it works for those issues. ... show more

The Tarte Shape Tape Concealer really lives up to its reputation for full coverage. I use the shade 27S Light-Medium Sand, and it matches my light to medium skin with warm, golden undertones almost perfectly no weird gray or pink tones, which I’ve run into with other concealers. What I love most is how little product you need to get serious coverage. It hides dark circles, redness, and blemishes effortlessly without having to layer. It dries down to a matte finish, but still looks smooth and not cakey as long as your under-eyes are well-moisturized. Without proper prep, it can cling to dry patches or fine lines. The formula is thick, but it blends surprisingly easily with a sponge or brush. It also stays put all day no creasing or sliding around, even in heat or humidity. I do recommend setting it with a light powder to lock it in, especially for oily or combination skin. The packaging is also solid the applicator is big, so you can apply quickly, and the tube lasts a long time. If you’re looking for serious coverage that lasts, Shape Tape is still one of the best. Just make sure to hydrate your skin before applying, and it will look flawless! ... show more

I got this on a TikTok deal a few months ago and loved it so much when I saw it on deal on Amazon I purchased another one. I absolutely love this concealer. It’s full coverage and could be used to cover dark spots, little imperfections, acne, etc., as well as for the eyes with the dark circles. The does foot applicator is large. And very soft. The concealer itself is fairly on the thick side. This is not the ultra creamy version so I do use an eye cream and apply it anywhere between a half hour to 10 minutes before I put my makeup on. This makes the concealer glide on easier. You only need a little I just put it in the corners of my eyes and I either use my finger to rub it in or if I’m in the mood, I use a concealer brush. It blends very easily and is easy to spread with your fingers or the brush. I do use a setting powder, but I don’t even think it’s extremely necessary as I have gone without it and it did not crease. I think the more important step is to put an eye cream before you put this product on. I have a few dark spots on my face and I’m able to cover them with the concealer before I put my foundation on and it lasts all day. . One more thing, I find if you are conflicted, what color to get always go a little darker versus lighter if you are not sure. I think the two light concealers show imperfections and also tends to exaggerate fine lines. ... show more

i've used this concealer for YEARS and it will always remain my top fav. it doesn't break me out and does a really great job at covering dark spots or active acne (take it from me who has had the WORST skin for her entire life). i have combo skin but majorly oily. one thing to know is to make sure your skin is very moisturized before using this concealer bc it will show how dry your skin is without prepping :) ... show more
