I had one of these covers on my recliner that did not have any strap on the upper part to hold the back rest section on. It was always sliding down and needing to be put back up. This got to be a pain after a few years! I decided to buy this one based on the strap being adjustable and it really works well! The lower strap I had to get behind the chair and undo the Velcro flap and run it underneath that piece of fabric but our recliner is a full electric one so I was not even sure those lower elastic strapping would even work. It did! So far, I'm happy and we have not had issues any more with it staying in place. It is not to thick and has non-slip things on the back which is very helpful. Like… 1) color is nice —-chocolate 2) fits relatively well 3) the elastic strap with the round buckle isn’t long enough—-can’t use but it’s ok Just means tucking more often 4) elastic strap that keeps back from slipping down is almost not long enough but mostly works Dislike… 1) very thin 2) it is “quilted” but it is not stitched with thread 3) the “quilted” look is done by a heat stitch process—-not sure of wearability i.e. separating of the 2 layers I have another cover for a couch that is actually stitched with thread and still going strong after 15 + years but couldn’t find that brand. They are just what I was looking for but after not even two months the tow piece came out and I’m having a hard time returning them because it’s past the window. I would love another pair. Don’t know why when pulled out I didn’t pull out it kind of love surface broke with a thong went in, so hoping to find some good results because they are a very comfortable shoe and they do wonders for my feet and my back

The only difficulty I had was getting the back strap closed (probably my recliner was bigger). Once I got it closed, it fits nicely, except it does slide around. The arms want to cave in and I have to readjust them before sitting most times. Also, I pull up the back piece to tighten often just because I don't want it to fall down. It probably won't because the back hangs over the back quite a bit, but I don't like the look if it's bunched. Overall, I'm happy with this though. I bought a very light colored recliner and this keeps it clean and looks like a nice contrasting color (dark brown on pale tan). ... show more

I have to keep adjusting the arms on mine because I use the power lift to get in and out because of my back surgery.
