Comfortable to lie on, face down. Haven't tried face up yet. :) Handy pocket in the side for phone, glasses etc. It's important to get these out of the sun, when you're not using them. Like everything, weeks of sun will eventually degrade the material. Just put it away when you're not using it and it'll stay fresh a long time!

Having the face down opening is great for backside tanning. The canvas material is very rough and almost uncomfortable, but I became comfortable with it. The chair is heavy, but perfect for backside tanning without hurting your neck. The sun drape for reading or using iPad or cell phone devices is pretty good to. The real not five-stars is because the face opening while wearing sunglasses is uncomfortable.
