I tried the Tan Towel Self Tan Towelettes (Classic, 10 count), and they’re one of the simplest self-tanning options I’ve used. Each towelette is pre-soaked with just the right amount of product, so there’s no mess, measuring, or extra tools needed—just wipe and go. Application is quick and surprisingly even. As long as you apply in a circular motion, the color develops naturally without streaks or patchiness. The “Classic” shade gives a subtle, sun-kissed glow rather than anything too dark, which makes it great for building gradually. I also appreciate that there’s no strong self-tanner smell while applying. The color develops over a few hours and looks natural on the skin, not orange or overly artificial. The only thing to keep in mind is making sure to wash your hands right after use and maybe moisturize dry areas beforehand for the most even result. Overall, these towelettes are perfect if you want a quick, low-maintenance tan with minimal effort—great for travel or touch-ups.

I don’t write a lot of reviews but these are worth the time and money. I’ve never used a tanning towel before but I’ll never use anything else. I have light olive skin and tan easily. I choose the Fair to Medium Classic. After spending some time in the sun I had the ‘oh you got some sun’ and the ‘omg put that ghost away’ winter white places and I wanted to even out my look. I used the towels as directed after a shower. I’m 5’5 130 and one towel works for me. I just did the winter white places. Didn’t see much result after the first time so did it again two days later (Mon, Wed) and was amazed at the result. It wasn’t immediate but by that evening I was tan. And, not streaky, not weird orange, not bizarrely dark knees, elbows, feet. It absolutely looks natural. I’m a good color now so won’t reapply again until it fades. It’s been a week and still nice. Hasn’t stained sheets or towels. If you want to avoid the sun entirely but not be Casper or just want to zhuzh up your tan, these are great. I haven’t used on my face and don’t think I will so can’t speak to that. Anyway, I’ll be buying these again for sure.

Finally, something easy to use and it WORKS! I am what many would call, "Ooh, that girl has never seen the light of day!" But I have, and I do. I work construction and I have a GREAT tan on one arm. (the one that sticks out the crane-hauler window) I was headed to Cleveland for vacation (another weird story) and wanted to look like I live in California. I do, so I tested out these Tan Towels. They don't smell funny, they don't stain clothes, they are easy to use, they work fast, the process to use them is simple and fast, they last pretty long, they didn't streak, and they gave me a natural color tan! I had many people compliment me on my "tan!" I bought the Half Body from Light to Medium skin tone and always started the towel on a different part of my body, this way my lower left leg didn't always get the freshest part of the towel. I could use a Half Body Towel for my whole body. I am petite. I used the towel twice in one week and then twice in one weekend before we flew to the Tropical Vacation Destination of Cleveland. And, then once during my week in Cleveland. I used one tan Towel about a week after I returned from Cleveland. That was 2 weeks ago and I still look TAN! I did not use them on my face because I couldn't figure out how to time it so I didn't end up "primping" most of it off during my make-up application process. (not that's it's extreme, but it does include toner and other products) Be a little careful around joints and boney areas. Around my ankles and knees it got a wee bit dark, but just plain scrubbing (a wee bit more than usual) in the shower toned the dark spots down. But, this was a main reason I only used 1ea. HALF towel for each application.

Easy to apply. We like that they come in individual packages to help keep them from drying out quickly. We purchased these & another similar product that said they used organic ingredients because our dghtr has very sensitive skin & breaks out easily. Several days before her prom we tried this on one part of her body & the other product on the other side just in case one caused a bad reaction. Luckily neither product broke her out. After several applications over a period of several days these gave her a more natural look & didn't leave an orange tint like the other product did. The price for these things are ridiculous for no more than what they are, but we will purchase these again for special events.

I recently stopped using Tanning Beds after developing some skin issues, and after many years of summer tanning outdoors while boating, etc. I have tried many self-tanning products in the past, ranging from drug store shelf products to very expensive department store cosmetic products. I also tried the spray tan @ Tanning salon, but all those tanning alternatives had one thing in common...that pungent odor, I am told comes from the bronzing agent. Some of them streaked too. If the results from those products looked good, my skin did not smell good. My Dermatologist gave me a couple of packets of "Tan Towels" to try. I found them to be basically odorless, what scent they have is pleasant, and they actually work. I noticed some tanning right after using them, they don't streak, & tan is uniform all over body where applied. If used following the directions and a couple of times a week, the tan lasts pretty long, and does not seem to rub off on clothing when allowed to dry completely before dressing. The Plus side of this product...Pleasant scent (no bad odor) noticeable, natural looking tan, easy to use (just be sure to wash hands after using). Only negative...size of Towelettes (small, takes two for entire body per application) and they are pricey, considering how many you have to use with each application to achieve desired results. I did save $ by ordering from Amazon as opposed to ordering from manufacturers website. Have not found them in any stores such as Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc. Can probably be purchased @ many Dermatologists offices as well. All in all, an excellent product I recommend & plan to continue using!

Got these tan towels after a friend recommended them. My least favorite part of self tanners (aside from the orangey tint) is the mess. These were a BREEZE! SO simple to use. There are a million YouTube videos that show you how best to apply, but basically, if you know how to clean yourself off using baby wipes or a washcloth, you can apply this tanner. The scent is not overpowering - more of a fresh, citrus-like scent. I ordered the half body towels, then used two half bodies and had ample “juice” to cover legs, arms, chest, stomach, and neck/face. They sell separate face wipes, but there’s really no difference. I loved the natural glow it gave. If you’re needing a FAST tan, like in an hour or less, this isn’t your go-to. The color on this develops over the course of about 18-24 hours. I was really pleased and will be buying again.

Let me start by giving you my stats; I am 5'5" tall and I wear a size 8 in women's clothing. This gives you an idea of how big I am. Some of the reviews I read stated that one Tan Towel wasn't enough to completely cover an entire person. They stated that multiple towels were necessary. This is what I found to be true in my case even though I am an average size woman. In my case, I tend to have drier than average skin which may have play a part in why I needed to use 3 towels to effectively cover my entire body. Here are the Pros and Cons of the Tan Towels as I see them. PROS: 1. Application is easy. Simply shower before application being sure to exfoliate (shave your legs, and any other part of your body). Use a washcloth, or other item to remove dead skin from the parts of the body where you plan to apply the sunless tanner. Allow your skin to dry and do not apply any lotions or baby oil before using the Tan towels. Allow the sunless tanning fluid to dry completely before dressing. I find it best to do this before bed and wear a loose fitting garment to bed. DO NOT shower or get wet for at least 12 hours after application! 2. The Tan Towels have a pleasant smell unlike any other sunless tanning product I've used (and I've used MANY) 3. You do not HAVE to wear gloves when applying as long as you wash your hands afterward. Many sunless tanning products require gloves to keep from having orange hands even after washing hands. 4. The overall color is natural looking opposed to that of many other sunless tanners. CONS: 1. Each towel does NOT have equal amounts of sunless tanning liquid in them. Some are nearly dry when opened while others have a lot of fluid. This makes it difficult to apply an even "coat" to the body. This results in an uneven sunless tan which is hard to see until the color develops. 2. It easily comes off when you sweat. This is serious issue when you live in the South where temperatures stay in the upper 90's all summer. I find it ends up in the creases of my elbows and the backs of my knees in particular. Once it is wiped off, I find I have areas of white skin showing through in those areas. 3. Something about the product makes it turn an "orange-ish" color after swimming in a chlorinated pool.
