  • The BEST out there
Color: White
I've used most of the spray can Primers that are available in retail stores and this, by far, is the best one out there. It lays down smoove and you can put decals on it without fanfair...funfair.... then clearcoat it and it comes out better than most WHITE paint period. Seriously. Plus the vendor shipped KWICK ! • EASILY the most adherent primer I ever used.
Color: White
Before I start I should note, I bought my can of primer a several years ago, and am only writing my review now. While I highly doubt anything about the formula has changed, one of my complaints (which I'll explain) may have been changed during that time frame, though I doubt it. I bought this primer when it was $10.99 USD, so I'll factor in its current price into my review. As the title of my review states, this is EASILY the most adherent primer I ever used. Rustoleum doesn't hold a candle to it. Metal, plastic, doesn't matter. Once it's on there - It's on there. Of course it's sandable, but its adherence can be a double edged sword. The primer is not mistake friendly. It picks up every little detail, and if you screw up (e.g. put too much on at once, or an imperfection underneath) it is a huge pain to take off. I have tried rubbing alcohol, mineral spirits, enamel reducer, Hell - I found out by happenstance that it's even resistant to the heat from a soldering iron. The ONLY method I've found to take it off without spending 20-30 minutes sanding is specifically lacquer thinner. Lacquer thinner will strip it off very fast, all you need is a paper towel soaked in it. That said, plastic doesn't like lacquer thinner, and will eat it real quick and make it get soft and maliable. One of my biggest complaints about this primer is the can itself. The nozzle rotates, but doesn't have an indentation on top to intuitively tell you by touch which direction the primer will come out of. While this doesn't sound like a big problem, I have on multiple occasions screwed up a project because I thought it was gonna come out one way, when it went out another. Now then, the biggest question - Is it worth paying it's now almost $16 price tag? Unless the project you have absolutely requires extreme fine detail, and ridiculous adherence, no I don't think so. I bought this for $10.99, and even then, considering the quantity you get, it was pushing the barrier of being worth the money. Now, at $15.90, that's just shy of a 45% increase from its starting price tag of $10.99. There are many other smaller brands that work just as well for the vast majority of projects you might need to do, at a fraction of the cost. ... show more

  • Best primer ive ever used!
Color: White
Its a little pricey but well worth it. Goes on easy and creates a smooth finish. I use the white primer and if what i am painting is supposed to be white, i dont even put other paint over it.

  • Good primer for model building.
Color: White
I've always liked using Tamiya brand products and this white primer is always part of my kit. The fine spray covers nicely yet doesn't cover the fine details in plastic model kits. The trick is to warm up the can with warm or hot water from the tap in a container for a few minutes. The paint can spray a finer mist and flows smoothly. I've also used the gray and black primers with success. One star less for the price, as this tends to get pricey when I'm working on multiple projects at a time. Plus, I've seen prices a little cheaper at my local hobby shops. Five stars for the product itself. ... show more

  • Good coverage
Color: White
I tried my best to do sweeping motions on my little figures to be painted with acrylic. Did a bunch of research before choosing this spray and glad I did.

  • Do not inhale
Color: White
I don’t like that is false advertising in the description it said white but at the bottom in the gray box it says great so I thought that I was receiving gray primer but when package was received and it was white I would like if they change this so that way other people don’t go through what I went through thank you ... show more

Color: White
A bit expensive but it drys super fast in a warm areas and it’s primer so it does what primers do.
