Style: Red Tambourine
The media could not be loaded. This tambourine is adorable, and my son's favorite color is red, so he was excited about it. As far as sound goes, it is important to be realistic in expectations when it comes to a tambourine like this. There is lambskin, which adds so much to the quality of the drum, but it is thin, and the fox is printed on paper that has been adhered, which will naturally dullen the sound you get from the drum. But the jingles sound great, and the drum is made of quality materials, and I love it. I am a trained musician and I do a lot of Orff-related exercises with my kids as part of our homeschooling. We have other drums that are skin only, and they do have a richer tone. But the skin has to be thicker and it adds to the price. This tambourine is priced well for what it is, and the primary purpose of a drum like this is to be cute and draw the kids in. This is a drum the kids will WANT to play, and the fact that it's a little quieter than a skin-only drum can be a very good thing, especially if you have a lot of littles playing at once. The jingles sound great, and that's a huge part of learning to play the tambourine too, otherwise it would just be a hand drum, haha. I love it and I'm excited to have another drum in our percussion collection. I'm planning to buy their bear tambourine this fall with our school funds to round out the forest theme. Also, the wood is very smooth and painted beautifully. No burrs or anything like that, great for little hands to hold. I love it, it's so darling!

I lead a day camp for kids that includes singing & playing my acoustic guitar. It's certainly easier to get them engaged in the song if they can participate in playing & singing along. It's easy for me to give them a 30 second "music lesson" on striking percussion instruments on the 2 & 4 beat. This tambourine is exactly what the kids need to get involved in percussion. I'm not sure if the "drum head is made of natural sheepskin" but it certainly feels stronger & sounds better than just a thick paper head. The metal jingles sound fine. For the price, this is a well crafted instrument.

Its an okay tamborine and will be a cute pair with my sons other musical instruments but you can just tell the feel of it felt cheap. As seen in the second photo the orange ribbon hot glued around the end shows the seam line and just felt like it was not of quality material

The tambourine is very cute. The jingles work and sound great. The quality is good but could have been a bit better. As you can see in the pictures the adhesive is a little sloppy and the finish in the hole is a bit rough. Our baby daughter loves it and her inner percussionist plays with it almost in a daily basis. Size is a bit big for a infant/young toddle but still easy to use with some help and supervision. As far as value it is ok. For a little more you can probably find a set of toy musical instruments.

I was expecting something somewhat small, but this is bigger than I thought. It's still small enough for my daughter to hold (16 months) and the appearance of it is adorable! The colors are just as vibrant and the quality is well made. If your child loves musical instruments it's definitely worth the money... just be aware that you'll hear nothing but noise all day like me!
