This would be the perfect art palette if it were not so small. It's only about two thirds the size of a standard wooden palette in the same price range. The one advantage to having a clear palette is that it gives you a better idea of what the mixed color will look like on the canvas and this one is no exception. It can and does make a difference to the finished product. I've preferred acrylic palettes for a while now. They are easier to clean than wooden palettes particularly if you've left the paint on a little longer than you should have. This one was quite forgiving. The only downside regarding this item is its size. It might be more suited to children than an adult who is serious about their tools. With this in mind I would suggest the two pack over the single. It's only a dollar more and you are effectively doubling your work space. This product is cheap, effective, and easy to clean. I took one star off due to its size but other than that I would recommend it as a worthwhile investment in the often expensive world of art supplies. ... show more

Never used an acrylic paint palette so was excited to try this one out - worked with mixing acrylic, watercolor and guache paints. Super easy to wipe clean with a wet paper towel. Expect to use this for a lot of future projects.

My wife enjoys creative expression with color and has recently begun working on several painting projects. I ordered this non-stick palette as a tool for her to use when she’s painting on walls and canvas. The palette came with protective film on both sides which must be removed before use, but the process is quick and easy—simply lift up a corner and peel the film away. We ordered the Clear style, and it is indeed clear and easy to see through. The palette is oval-shaped and measures 12 inches across at its widest points. It can be flipped over and is suitable for left- or right-hand use. It is very easy to clean, but it may be a bit too slippery for some thinner paint mediums. This palette is reasonably comfortable to hold for short periods of time, but the thick plastic edges may cause some discomfort when using it for longer periods as the edges are not rounded. A painting palette can be held in a number of ways, but many painters utilize the hole for their thumb, which is a little different than the way it is held in the product photo. ... show more
