Overall a decent looking and sturdy chair. 2nd Chair purchased had a moderate color issue. A few too many visible stainless screws for my taste. The installation instructions are primarily diagram, and not very clear. Took about an hour to assemble…with decent instructions it should have taken 15-20 minutes. I was considering buying 1 more, but doubt I want 3 of these.

I’ve always wanted an Adirondack chair! I think they are cool looking and remind me of the beach, long summers, fruity drinks, and a good book! This one is oversized – large with wide armrest and footrest. While it looks like wood, it is actually compressed plastic, which I like. Hopefully, this means it will last longer than its wooden counterparts. I am in the process of finishing our pergola and this will look perfect, very chic and rustic. It will also look great in the garden near my bird feeder. I will say that assembling took more time than expected, especially since my husband is handy. But with all that being said, this is an attractive chair that most folks will appreciate.

This is a very nice plastic chair the surface is textured and the material strength is a good match for a medium hard wood. The colors are solid through the entire piece. It is high enough to leave my legs dangling or use the included foot rest. Beware do not through away the curved styrofoam packing material it is also an assembly platform for the chair back. Assembly took less than 30 min. Sped up by using a power tool for most of the screwing work. If you will use the manual hex wrench included it will take a bit longer. It is a solid chair heavier than any but the best hard woods. It will be here for a long time. Plus it has a soft smooth flat look and feel softer and better than wood.

Now that the chair is assembled, it's nice enough. It's sturdy and comfortable. However, the overall quality is not what I expected for the price. My two-star rating is a combination of assembly frustration and the value of the price relative to the look of the chair once it was assembled. One of the pieces arrived scuffed (photo attached, black mark in the middle of the member). Assembling it wasn't easy. The instructions are diagrams, and several of them are not intuitive. It took me a little more than an hour to complete. The included hex wrench, which is bigger than I thought necessary (larger diameter - not too long), had a sharp edge on one end that kept painfully digging into my hand. Assembly is really a two-person job, and I scuffed the chair in a couple places where I had to set it on the ground to do the assembly. At one point, while moving the chair, I didn't have enough hands to support everything, and one of the legs fell off, as the screws simply pulled free. It was frustrating, but once it was complete, there was only minor cosmetic damage noticeable, and the chair is still sturdy. Several of the pieces don't line up quite right. One I had to use a mallet to get in, and even then, it didn't line up, I just created a new hole. Even when tightened, some of the gaps seem unnecessarily wide, or the chair doesn't look symmetric, which gives the chair a cheaper feel. I've included some pictures of gaps. I'll say one last time, though, the chair DOES NOT FEEL CHEAP. It is sturdy, after everything is tightened. I don't think I'd pay this price for one of these - I would wait for an assembled one to go on sale at an outdoor furniture store, and get one then.

Good: -Great height and size for easy sitting. -Good style and color. -Low maintenance. Bad: -Heavier than expected. -I would prefer a cup holder. I ordered the OTSUN Store Tall Adirondack Chairs. I like that the chair material seems durable and easy to maintain. The gray and white color combination adds a modern design. I like that the parts are labeled, but the hardware organization could be better. The armrest are a good size and I think the backrest offers more comfort than the tradition Adirondack design. Overall, I like the low maintenance, comfort and style of this chair.

I thought this would be a 15 minute project but it took me close to 90 minutes to do. The holes don't line up and I had to stand on pieces to get screws to work. The chair is really heavy which is nice but not great for a weaker person who wants to move it. It has plenty of room for a larger adult. Overall happy with the chair just frustrated with putting it together.

The very last time I used the included tools in a furniture assembly kit, I was literally ready to scream!!! So I bought a set of ratching wrenches - bent neck to make it easier. I bought a set of hex bits for my drill plus hex bolt shanks as well. That is how I was able to put this chair together without wanting to scream. I do realize that furniture kits like this can't put together my own set of tools, but if you really like this chair, and it IS a comfortable chair and looks good, then I would highly recommend borrowing from a neighbor or your dad or buy your own tools...it would be worth it and make putting this chair together so much easier for you. I have to mention I am older and have arthritis in my hands and fingers. Using an Allen wrench manually, for me, nearly makes me cry later in the evening, after trying to tighten bolts/screws and messing up my hands. That's just me, but I still would say the assembly is so much easier with "real" tools. Beautiful and inviting chair for the porch!
