I travel a lot for pleasure and I'm always on the lookout for a carry on bag that actually satisfies my needs. This one checks the boxes. It's about 21-1/2" tall, so the right size for a carry on. It's about 10" deep which is fine for Southwest, but about 1" too big for United if they're measuring it. I like the front pocket, which zips down. You can put your tablet in there and headphones for the flight without opening up the main storage area. The front pocket also has a zippered bag area for storage. The main bag has excellent storage space. With the expansion I can get a weekend's worth of clothes no problem and a week's worth if I use my vacuum bags or compressible storage cubes. The exterior feels like it will resist the scratches and bruises that come from checking bags. I like the built in locks so I don't have to look around for a lock. It's got lifting handles on the top and side so you can easily get it out of your car. I like it that the zippered inside part has a plastic zippered pouch so I can put shampoo and such without spill issues (I still always put them in zip lock bags first). This bag has a lot of the extras as a large bag, but it's a good size for a carry on. I can see gate checking it for convenience too. I am going to get another one for my wife! I definitely recommend it.

This carry-on suitcase has everything you need. It is very well designed not only for the business traveler but for any traveler really. It has a nice rugged appearance and I appreciate the hard shell exterior (which is a bit thicker and more substantial than a lot of the non-name brand cases. This suitcase is also very well designed with ease of use in mind. I really like the front pocket which is a full length pocket which, when unzipped, sort of folds out on a hinge at the bottom and gives you easy access to your laptop, magazines, documents, wallet or other items you place in their (making going through airport security a bit easier). It has a pocket for your laptop with a Velcro strap and several other well sized compartments. There is also some protection on the flap so that you won't damage your laptop by accidently banging into something. Another nice design feature is the multi-pocket interior flap. This suitcase also features the ability to unzip and expand the width of the case by a couple inches giving you extra room when you need it. You don't normally see this feature on a carry-on like this. The suitcase pulls easily, the wheels work well, and the extendable handle extends easily. The suitcase also features a TSA approved lock and handles on two sides (the top and the side if you lay it down lengthwise). Overall just a nice carry-on that provides good value.

After using this 20 inch TAKUMI expandable carry on, I’m genuinely impressed with how much functionality is packed into a compact suitcase. It has a sleek, modern look while offering practical features that make traveling much easier. The hardshell exterior feels sturdy and does a great job protecting everything inside without adding unnecessary weight. The spinner wheels roll smoothly and quietly, making it effortless to maneuver through airports, train stations, and hotel lobbies. The telescoping handle feels solid with minimal wobble, adding to the premium feel. One of my favorite features is the front pocket. It provides quick access to a laptop, tablet, travel documents, or other essentials without having to open the main compartmentba huge convenience during security checks or while waiting at the gate. The expandable design is another big plus. It offers extra packing space when needed while still remaining compact enough for most carry-on requirements. Inside, the organization is well thought out with zippered compartments and compression straps that help keep everything secure and organized. I was nicely surprised by the quality of this Takumi carry-on right out of the box. It looks like an expensive brand name luggage. It feels durable that can last many many trips. It is very stylish and modern looking. I especially appreciate how its outside pocket is constructed. I can easily open it with the luggage standing up in tight space. It can be locked with steel cables, which also serve as its puller, to the main compartment’s zipper. This outside pocket is perfect to store things I need easy access in the airport or plane, like iPad, a light windbreaker, battery pack and charging cables… etc. The two sleeves provide some added protection and convenience. I’ll do this carry-on no justice if I do not mention those quiet, smooth gliding wheels. They really make moving the carry on effortlessly. The retractable handle has several height levels you can adjust to your comfort level. I also love the expandable space I might need. The zippers are smooth and strong. The only thing I would like to see Takumi improve in future versions is to reduce the weight. At about 8.3 lbs, it is a bit heavier than some of its competitors. Overall, I still think this luggage attends to the details of a quality product. I recommend it.

The Takumi 20 inch expandable carry on luggage feels well made. The zippers open and close easily. It is a lightweight piece of luggage, yet it feels strong and durable. The outside material feels very durable. The wheels move freely. I like the small front zippered area that is easily accessible for your laptop, books, or other items without having to open the entire bag. The handle comes out for easy transport. There is also a lifting handle which is nice. I like that it is expandable, giving a bit of extra room. I also like that the zipper is dark in color to match the outside of the bag, making it more discreet if you do expand it. Even though it will still fit in the upper compartment of the airplane, the flight attendants are very particular these days if they notice you've expanded your bag! The integrated locks are a bonus. Overall this is a nice value at the price point for the great quality of this carry on bag.

I was looking for a carry-on that was easy to maneuver but still had enough room for a few days' worth of clothes, and this one checks those boxes. It feels sturdy without being overly heavy, and the expandable section is nice when you need a little extra packing space for the trip home. The front pocket is probably my favorite feature. It made it easy to grab my laptop and travel documents without opening the entire suitcase, which was especially convenient while going through the airport. The wheels roll smoothly, and the telescoping handle felt solid while pulling it through the terminal. I also like having the built-in TSA lock for a little extra peace of mind when traveling. The glossy hardshell does show a few scuffs after being handled during travel, but that's pretty common with this type of luggage and doesn't affect how it performs. For the price, this carry on genuinely surprised me. The shell is hard, durable plastic that feels like it can take a beating without cracking, and the zippers glide open and closed with none of that flimsy, catchy feeling you get with cheaper luggage. The TSA lock is a great touch too, and I love that it secures both the main compartment and the front pocket with just the one lock, so you're not fumbling with multiple locks at security. The storage layout is where this suitcase really stands out. That front pocket is padded enough to safely hold a laptop or tablet, so if you need to work at your gate, you're not digging through folded clothes to find your stuff. Inside, there are two separate zippered pockets that make it easy to keep smaller items organized instead of tossed around loose, and the wheels roll smooth and quiet across pretty much any surface. I was excited about this type of roller suitcase. My husband always travels with his laptop, Remarkable, and a journal and those combined make his backpack so heavy. However he needs easy access to all of these things while going through the airport so putting it in his regular suitcase wouldn’t work. This helps alleviate the weight in his backpack while having easy access to his laptop and any work papers he has. It rolls great and the lock is easy to set. There’s still a good amount of space on the inside and the hard shell is durable. The only thing that was a little “eh” was the handle seemed a little wobbly when you pulled it up all the way but so far it hasn’t been a problem especially on smooth airport floors.
