  • Great watch
This is an amazing watch. I bought it for my wife, and it is very classy, yet very durable. She uses it all the time (we bought it 2 months ago) and it has been great. She uses it while we hike, swim and play tennis and it is holding up perfectly. Very versatile, you can use it to hike during the day, and keep it on for that evening summer party. Overall, very nice, practical, classy and sturdy so far. ... show more

  • Greatly disappointed with this purchase
My husband and I decided to get each other quality, high-end watches for our anniversary; and he's been wanting a TAG for ages. I picked out this Aquaracer for myself, and I was truly disappointed in the product that I received. The watch face was crooked--even though it was slight, it was still very noticeably twisted to the left so the line for the half hour was actually somewhere around the 28 minute mark. Additionally, it felt very, very lightweight; not at all what you would expect for a $1500+ watch. The order was fulfilled by Amazon itself, so I have no doubt to its authenticity; however, my $250 Seiko watches feel like more substantial timepieces. You may be looking for a lightweight watch, in which case this would be perfect for you--but I personally like one with a bit more heft to it. I will admit that I purchased this watch without trying one on in person first, because our local high-end jewelry store only sells TAGs for men. My advice is to see one in person first, to make certain this is the watch you really want before purchasing one online. Lastly, I have to say that Amazon's service is great and I have NO complaints about that part of this purchase, at all. They got this watch to me in less than 24 hours, and began working on the return of this purchase immediately following my contact with them. I do recommend purchasing your watch through Amazon, once you're certain that this is the one you'd like. ... show more

  • Just know you're getting an authentic but "grey market" watch
I recently purchased the WAF1410.BA0823 Aquaracer for my wife. I did a lot (a lot!) of research and questioned why or how Jomashop or others were able to offer over a 30% discount off retail. I don't see anyone here explaining in detail why, so I'll post what I've learned for those who want to know what they are getting. The watches are 100% authentic but they are being sold by a grey market dealer (NOT an Authorized Dealer). Authorized Dealers like specialty jewery shops and Macy's buy their watches from Tag in required bulk and are instructed not to discount prices. Authorized dealers provide non-scrubbed serial numbers and an international warranty card (good for 2 years of service by an Authorized Service Provider). Some ADs especially in Europe will sell their excess merchandise at invoice to grey market dealers who offer the same authentic watch with only a 10 to 15% markup. They will offer their own 2 year warranty for service since Authorized Dealers and Servicers are forbidden to service grey market watches (how would they know? scrubbed serial nubmers and no warranty card). Your watch from a grey market dealer may (or may not) have serial numbers but will NOT include a stamped international warranty card. BUT it's 100% real (manfuactured by TAG). The trade off is this: what are the chances of your quartz powered (Aquaracer) watch failing or having mechanical issues before the two year warranty runs or what would be the repair costs even if the grey market dealer for some reason fails to honor their own warranty? If the watch had automatic movement and cost more than $3,000 then I would want some assurance from a reputable AD rather than a grey market seller. Otherwise, eventhough $1,200 is no chump change, the savings may be worth your while. At least Jomashop watches have serial numbers which can be important for insurance claims. ... show more

  • Almost Perfect
I was looking for a new Tag to replace my wife's, which had been stolen. I was browsing all of the various online discounters, comparing prices, when I noticed Amazon had the exact model I wanted, advertised as used, good condition. It was listed at less than 50% of the cost of the best price I had found for a new watch, so I ordered it with the idea that if it wasn't in reasonably good condition I'd just return it and buy a new one... This watch is as good as any new watch I've seen! You cannot tell this watch has ever been worn. If I didn't know it was pre-owned, I would not believe it. I still think Amazon may have sent me a new watch in error. Great watch, great price. ... show more

  • My wife loves this watch!
My wife wanted a nice sport watch and this one fit the bill perfectly without breaking the bank. In fact, I think it is the only watch she wears these days. It is a functional diving watch but the bezel is a little hard to see underwater. Sadly, we don't get to see it underwater as much as we would like, but it looks great when I see it above water. ... show more

  • Love it!
I had a Tag watch some years ago that had been stolen from me and have been looking for something like it to replace it ever since. When I found this one, while it's not an exact match, it's nearly identical and I didn't have quite the same price tag as if I'd gone to a jewelry store to buy it. Naturally, I was a little concerned that I might be paying way too much for something that would ultimately turn out to be a fake, but as soon as I opened the box I knew it was the real deal. I couldn't be happier with my purchase! ... show more
