I have a pair of similar pants from last year that have a zipper at the ankle. I was concerned these wouldn't fit over my ski boots without the zipper. I am pleased to say the stretchy material easily slid down over a large mens ski boot and held snugly at the ankle bend, just below the second buckle. They are stretchy enough to get over the boot, but just snug enough to hold fast and seal out the wind. The quality is better than expected, very comfortable. I sometimes ski in sub 0 weather, so on colder days, i wear a pair of hot chilis underneath for an extra layer of warmth. My legs are warm and dry all day, wind proofing is fine for skiing. The seat doesn't get wet and cold sitting on the lifts. Another reviewer said these aren't goo for wet weather but I question that. I've been out in freezing rain with them and they dont soak through. Great pants, cool look.

The don't have vents or pant leg cuffs that open. Nice soft lining. Very windy proof. Was never cold. They do stretch over ski boots, just enough. Water proofing is decent - not current gen gortex, but similar to early 2000s protection. will get you though an entire day of skiing, but snowboarder might be little wet by days end. For the price, bought two pairs for color options.

The pants I ordered were a size 30. They fit well, but are slightly long for me. They are about a 30x32, and I usually wear a 30x30. They seem well made. I actually wore them as ski pants for a 2 day Spring trip and they were very good for that. The water resistance was sufficient. I will be using these for some cooler weather kayaking too. There are no vents, but I was not overly warm at 50F while skiing.

These pants are warm. Let me say it again...these pants are warm. I’ve worn them in the Colorado Rockies (dry, cool, climate) and the mountains of East Tennessee (damp, humid climate), and in both the temps for down into the 40s. I was hiking and camping in both temps, and my legs would sweat. So, that tells you these pants are warm and quite wind-resistant. These should not be worn for anything above 50 unless you like being hot. They are as good as advertised and I plan to buy some of the “thin” versions. But these will be in my cold weather gear. Think of them as closer to ski pants. Sizing is pretty accurate.

So I did what past reviewers suggested and went with a size up (32) and I actually think a 30 would have fit me better as I like my pants a bit snugger for work. They are warm without being too hot and water beads off from what I can see so far. I’m 5’’11 165-170 lbs and for what you pay not bad. Stretchy and able to fit over boots.

Very warm and suitable for cold outdoors wearing only. Wearing these indoors will result in sweaty and damp legs. Super for staying warm and dry in rain and snow. I tested mine in Iceland amidst rain, snow, and gale force winds; they did not disappoint. Watch out for sweating in these as they will cause your legs to get cold when damp. While they will keep rain and snow out, they will hold sweat in also. Only used for hiking.
