One of the best purchases. This stand was easy to assemble and pretty sturdy. It is important that the metal foot plate points towards the same direction the phone or tablet are pointing for balance. I’ve not had any trouble clipping my phone or kindle on it. Great for reading and watching things on the phone or kindle. It is flexibility but it requires a bit of pressure to move the arm which is fine. Because it is so tight, it does not droop down under the weight of the kindle. The media could not be loaded. The Tablet Floor Stand with its heavy-duty base is a great addition to my setup. It’s versatile, with adjustable height and angle, making it perfect for watching movies in bed, following recipes, or using it for video calls. It securely holds a range of devices, from my phone to my iPad Pro 12.9, without scratching them. While the stand is generally stable, I did find that adding some extra weight to the base made a big difference, especially when using larger tablets at higher angles. Without the additional weight, it can feel a little top-heavy and tip-prone if not positioned just right. The setup took a bit longer than expected, and adjusting the height can require some effort, but the flexibility it offers once everything is set up is worth it. Pictures show 12.4" Samsung tablet over chair and bed. Perfect for living room couch or other non high chairs. Bed is 26" high. Does not work extending to side with tablet weight, wants to tip over. Straight on with base forward allows full extension reach forward. Super simple tool free assembly. Can be assembled in under a minute. Base can be placed under leg of chair but it may require similar spacer under one other leg to avoid legs off kilter. ... show more

I bought this because my previous book stand completely snapped. It was one that you attached to your headboard and could bend in any direction, but overtime the neck weakened and broke. This stand is versatile and sturdy with its heavy base. As long as you have the base facing the right way, it even holds my Kindle Scribe with ease.
