    • Great Stand
This stand is great. It took only a minute to put together. It’s very sturdy & adjusts as easily. It has good weight so it won’t fall over. Easy enough to put a phone in the holder. I have not yet tried a tablet but it looks like it would fit just fine.

    • Great stand!
One of the best purchases. This stand was easy to assemble and pretty sturdy. It is important that the metal foot plate points towards the same direction the phone or tablet are pointing for balance. I’ve not had any trouble clipping my phone or kindle on it. Great for reading and watching things on the phone or kindle. It is flexibility but it requires a bit of pressure to move the arm which is fine. Because it is so tight, it does not droop down under the weight of the kindle. Definitely a great value for the price. ... show more

    • For the price it's a fair deal, The good, the bad the ugly using 11.5 ipad Pro
The good is that it didn't require instructions to put together, the plate used for stability has good weight for a floor or low-pile carpet. for a heavy pile it is not good and would require some type of floor pins like they use for a subwoofer to actually touch the floor surface through the pile- something stable- but that is neither here or there. It was adequate for my low pile carpet, however do not expect to turn the unit any further to the left or right a few degree because the tablet will start to lurch forward. The holder itself it mostly plastic and is mounted to a steel ball with a threaded Plastic ring- I sense this is going to be a failure point in the near future, as you will need to keep the ipad clamp from swiveling . This should have been a total metal assembly as it is on my American made swivel mount for my stereo speakers. The arms themselves are rather limited in their movement and excessively stiff. I say that the product does what it promises and if you are on a tight budget then it is ok. If you can afford it, Amazon does provide professional grade units ranging from $150-$220. Personally this will serve the purpose until I can figue out a more stealthy replacement. The good part is if you do not move your tablet a lot while using then it will look very clean and appropriate in a living space where you may have guest. If you are using an iphone or equivalent it would also be a good choice. I think the ipad is on the threshold of being too much weight. ps. I am going to purchase a cymbal's stand, go to a thrift shop and find an old engineers lamp with the counter balance springs and purchase a all metal mount- then I can be assured that no matter how much I move it- it's not going to fail- as I don't care what my guest think about my living quarters or decor ... show more

Understanding of physics, levers, leverage, weights and counterweights will negate the rest of the negative reviews here. If it tips, you're using it wrong. I added 6lbs of weight to the already 3lb weighted base and it functions perfectly - above and beyond that which would be expected from the negative comments. The spring & lever arm is absolutely sturdy as well and would easily handle more weight than your average tablet, even something like a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet (I have the Pro 4) but it's in a thick protective case and I don't want to remove it for this use. If you want to support a phone or standard iPad or Android tablet, absolutely can not recommend enough. Same with the "Pro" series of Microsoft Surface tablets. Just make sure the measurements check out first, you don't want to Crack a Surface screen because you underestimate how thick it is vs the reach of the screen gripper. If you want to feel that much safer with the base, the bottom is padded so you won't scratch the floor, the top is painted metal surface so adding leg weights of several pounds would be ok. Or you can get a couple sidewalk (like red) bricks and put in a small box, or anything of weight that has separation to it so you don't scratch the paint. I got it for my tablet so I don't have to have a whole big screen TV in the bedroom to watch streaming services and all I need now is some kind of small speaker bar because tablet speakers tend to suck - and these ones on my tablet are no exception! So, if you understand about weights and leverage and basic physics, I can't recommend this enough. If you don't, just get a basic tablet stand & laptop desk you can put on the bed beside you or over your legs. Never mind the junk in the pics, I'm organizing! The black rolls are my 2x 3 pound leg weights I have on the base. ... show more

    • Eliminated my “tech neck” challenges
Pretty decent flexibility. It has toppled over once - so now I’ve situated it in a spot so that something is on top of the base. Has eliminated my “tech neck” challenges & pain. Very glad I bought this. Well worth the expense.

Adjustability doesn’t last. The part that holds the device falls off when moved. I was lucky I caught my iPad before it hit the ground.
