  • Brighter with more coverage
I originally bought these in 2015 for my Jeep TJ. Today (31 Dec 2024) I had to buy a new pair as the old ones finally failed. These lasted 10 years! Towards the end of life the brightness noticeably dimmed and yellowed. Someone else pointed out these will probably need replacement every 4-5 years and I agree. I waited far too long to replace mine. However, I think a documented 10 year lifespan for these is a pretty good data-point. 9 of 10, would recommend. ... show more

  • Better pattern and whiter light
I used these lamps in replacing a set of sealed beam Wagner halogen bulbs on my 74' El Camino. The pattern of the Wagner lamps was very focused and diffuse between on road and road signs which left little illumination for the sides. The interstate lane markings and curbs were difficult to view because of this beam pattern. I considered using a hella conversion kit to H4 lamps, the GE Nighthawk LED, or even go to a HID package; but it seemed like a silly expenditure. I purchased these for less than $20 a piece and installation took maybe 10min with finding my cordless driver. The beam pattern is flatter and more like E-code lights. These bulbs illuminate the curbs side and brush area while still having good central lighting. What I like best about these lights is the flatter cut off instead of over illuminating road signs or wasting candle power on the sky. Properly adjusted, these lamps will update any vehicle using sealed beams without the expense and time of converting to a different style of bulb. These will not illuminate as well as a HID or an H4 conversion with a higher watt bulb. But it will produce a whiter and cleaner light than older sealed beams and focus the light on the areas of the road you need to see. ... show more

  • Brighter than Seal Beams
They are brighter than the original seal beams from the 1970s. But they aren’t like the overpowering LED lights though. Nice replacements for a classic car.

  • updated 1969 Camaro lights
I put these on my 1969 SS Camaro to replace the old yellow headlights. Must whiter ligh but not as bright as I was hoping for. But they are reasonably priced and I don't drive in the dark that often

  • Excellent and Simple Upgrade to the Factory Lighting on the TJ Wrangler
The SilverStar headlights made a HUGE difference in my confidence level for driving my TJ Wrangler at night; or whenever lighting is required for safe vehicle operation. I was originally leaning toward a new H4 bulb and KC replacement setup, but $100 was a little more than I wanted to spend for headlights. After reading through several Jeep forums I decided that I would go with a less expensive alternative - the SilverStars. It only took about ten minutes to install both lights, and let me just say that when I turned them on I was quite impressed. In my opinion, these are at least twice as bright as the old factory headlights. Better yet, instead of spending $100 plus shipping for the KC lights, these were only $38 with Super Saver shipping. If you're considering an upgrade to your factor head lamps, save yourself some cash for other Jeep accessories and buy the SilverStars. Not only do they work great, but Amazon will provide you with a great deal, too! Cheapest pricing on the Internet. Thanks Amazon!!! ... show more

  • Don't buy.
I bought 2 headlights. Both had cracks on the rear glass housing. 1 headlight had low beam and no high beam. The other had no lights at all. The copper plug in tabs appeared old or discolored from age or a chemical reaction. These will be returned and I will be ordering from a local parts store thst hopefully has products that look new and work. ... show more

  • Lighting up the night!
I used these to replace my 2006 Jeep TJ's OEM stock lights. I plan on upgrading with fog lights but installed these first to see if it made any difference! It's literally night and day difference from the stock headlights! I looked at them after installing just one and still had the old OEM light in the other and you can tell a HUGE difference! These are white and bright and the originals are yellow and dim. I can't wait to get out on some dark country roads to really see the difference. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and time will tell on the life and performance. If your looking for a budget upgrade on your Jeep than this is definitely a step in the right direction and a good price! Update: Still lighting up the night! These are SO bright, in fact, that I get flashed often because people think I am running my high beams. Great for dark nights and seeing wildlife before it sees me! 10/24/18 Update: 11/19/20 still going.... ... show more
