It's just a regular ol' umbrella. It's not windproof in that it still turns inside out if it catches the wind wrong. It turned inside out with a very light breeze. I just turned it toward the wind and it fixed it. I don't know why they advertise it specifically as "windproof" if it doesn't have any special windproof reinforcement or powers. Whatever, i needed an umbrella for the high UV exposure in the mountains Colombian mountains and i got one. Perfectly fine for getting out of the rain or sun if you dont have wind. If u have wind it doesnt stand a chance. Flimsy but i guess you get what you pay for

This umbrella is suitably compact and the auto-open works well. It is, however, very hard to close up - too much tension/resistance. It's fine for strong-armed people but not so great for others.

The umbrella stood up to a very windy NYC day so far. Seems very sturdy and it’s nice and compact. Has an automatic open button which is cool. And comes with a nice soft carry pouch. Bought 2 & I would definitely recommend.

I found this umbrella to be fun, works well within the limits of it's size. Also makes me smile! The print is cheerful - a blue sky with puffy clouds is much more fun than a boring black brolly. The only negative thing that I can think of is that a strong gust of wind this morning did pop it outward. Grabbed the wrapping strap and it popped right back, tho. This umbrella is not the largest I've ever had, but the added convenience of folding up and fitting within my carryall make up for the smaller size.
