There is a small covered patio area on the side of the garage apartment I live in. It's not a big area, but it gets good natural light and a nice breeze. I wanted an oversized rocker to put out there to relax in and I can do my reading for my classes. The base of this egg chair is alloy with wicker. The black alloy with the tan wicker is very pretty. Also, it will look great with any cushion color. The cushion is firm but so soft. Like it will hold up over time, but is so comfortable. I picked the dark gray cushion, but when I ordered it, it said it was black, but the picture was dark gray. I'm guessing that was a typo, as I got the dark gray one I wanted. It looks as though that has been fixed and they added more colors. It holds up to 450 pounds. It's roomy enough that both my boyfriend and I have lounged in it. The rocker part is more of a gentle swaying. I never feel like I'm going to fall out of it. Putting it together wasn't bad, but it did take me longer than I thought it would. ... show more

This is definitely more like a rocking bed vs. chair. I’m 5’3 and completely slouch/fall back in it so my line of sight is completely up towards the sky. If I try to sit up, my back ends up entirely off the chair, not like it appears in some of the pictures shown, so it’s perfect for stargazing and sleeping in but not really for sitting in. On the positive side, it is large enough for me to fully lay in with my baby by my side. The cushion is thick enough for my comfort, but it could be thicker and if you’re sensitive to texture, the material may bother you. Assembly was easy, all the parts were there. Unfortunately, it’s not an amazon prime returnable item so I’ll just keep it to use as a patio bed. ... show more

Very spacious!! WHen I bought this chair, I never expected this to be so spacious. I was amazed when I constructed it that how they packed such a huge chair in a small box. Assembly took good effort to assemble the parts but once constructed, it is sturdy, spacious and huge to fit an adult nicely on it. The shape is really comforting and it really relaxes the whole body. The arch shape helps the back to relax and you wake up fresh from this chair. Initially when I started, I used the tools provided but then I used my drill to tighten all the screws as there are many and it does take a lot of effort to screw and tighten them. I wish the manual was created with little more bigger fonts and on bigger size paper than a small pocket book as it was really hard to follow the directions. Using my common sense, I was able to fix all the parts together and was able to construct the chair in an hr or so. The cushion is good and fluffy but I feel I will have to have a new cushion soon as I am heavy and I will squeeze the cushion with my wieght. I can put a comforter and keep it cozy. Overall I am highly impressed with the quality and construct. Apart from time taken in construction, everything is great in this chair. ... show more

Extremely comfy- and if you’re neurospicy like me and like to sit in odd positions- meet your new best friend! Comfort at all angles!! It took my husband over an hour to set it up, but it wasn’t super complicated. When you’re not seated in it, it does sit kind of like a bowl, which doesn’t bother me, but as others have pointed out, it looks different from some of the stock photos, if that specific aesthetic is important to you. These chairs are really solid—sturdy, heavy, and have a nice finish with stainless hardware. They were super easy to put together, and everything fit perfectly. The only thing I’d note is that the Allen wrench they include is a bit tight, so I’d recommend using your own tool. But other than that, they’re exactly what I was hoping for—well-made, comfy, and durable. You can tell the design was really thought out, and everything works together so smoothly. I love that once I push off, I can lift my feet and it keeps rocking for a while. The headrest is a nice touch, and the arms are just the right width for resting my arms comfortably. Honestly, I could rock myself to sleep with a small pillow behind my back. Just a quick tip: to lock the chair, you need to pull the bottom latch up first, then push the top latch into place. Once you lean forward a little, it starts rocking, which is a cool feature. I was looking for a chair that’s comfy, sturdy, and easy on my knees when I get up, and this one checks all those boxes. After I got mine, I ordered one for my sister too! When I first set it up, I used the side clip to lock it, and it was good to go. I got this rocking chair for my patio and I would say I am satisfied with the overall quality of the chair. Firstly this came in a good packaging with no damages. The assembly is fairly straightforward following the manual and its better to have atleast 2 people to assemble in seamless manner. It comes all the necessary accessories and tools to install the chair. The chair is wide and comfortable enough to have relaxing experience.
