Nice duffel bag. It appears well constructed out of quality material and sewn well. Good zippers. Solid wheels thst roll very easily. The handle has some wiggle, but I don’t that that hurts. I’ve not had it long, but based on other product I’ve had in the past, this duffel surpasses them. Also, I’ve had Swissgear messenger bags for years. They are daily use and still holding up great. I this duffel is constructed similarly so I expect it will last just as long. The padding is pretty good. I would have like to have had about 4 extra mesh zippered pockets inside the bag, but that really isn’t a problem. It has plenty of room. Overall this is a great duffel.

The media could not be loaded. This bag does not tip over when standing upright (feature sometimes hard to find), has tons of space, made of durable material, easy to access and organize compartments, great safety and convenience features, and protected roller wheels. Everything and more I could want!

The side strap was missing following my very first trip on an airline. Evidently it got caught on a conveyor and ripped off. The airline would not pay for the damage, so I filed a warranty claim with Swiss Gear, who APPROVED A FULL WARRANTY and asked that I send them the luggage tags prior to receiving a coupon code for the full warranty amount (yes, I have the approval letter). After filling out the forms, sending photos and the tags as requested, etc., I had no response from SwissGear for almost a month, so I sent an email to their corporate customer service inquiring about the status of the warranty. I then received a coupon for a 15% discount on future purchases instead of the full warranty value. When I tried to contact them they refused to discuss the warranty claim, only to state "the claim is closed". Bottom line: First they approve a warranty, then they won't honor it. This is not the way a company should do business. I have used their luggage for many years, but no more. BUYER BEWARE!! DO NOT BUY FROM SWISSGEAR! They do not stand behind their products.

After two trips with the bag, a seam separated, which was clearly a result of defective construction. We submitted all the required documents and pictures to SwissGear, who says they warrant their product for 10 years from defects. Their response was to blame this on the airline handling and will therefore provide no warranty coverage whatsoever. . The separation of the seam was in a place where the handling could not possibly have had an impact. Unfortunately, we like the bag and intended to buy another. However, with this experience with SwissGear, not only will we not buy another, we will never even consider them in the future. They have been a major disappointment and this clearly says what kind of a company they are how worthless their warranty coverage is.

I travelled from the USA to Europe for a 10 day cycle tour. It contained all the clothes I needed plus cycling clothing and gear including a full size bike pump. At times I was pulling a bike box and the Swiss gear bag through airports. The wheels were very smooth and the bag was easy to manhandle. The bag survived 4 plane rides , 4 bike transport trucks and 3 train rides. It returned home as good as new. Lastly when full and standing vertically I could lean my bike against it, very useful on train station platforms.

Seems very sturdy. A bit smaller than I thought it would be. Will be using it to go on a 16 night cruise, hopefully it will hold up!
