UPDATE 2: My other review is for red shrimp, this one is for blue. They are the same species, but just a different color morph. I will copy and paste this review on the other because I consider it all part of the same experience. The short: My third time buying from this vendor means I am satisfied and that I do recommend this vendor. The long: All of my shrimp (I ordered 20) arrived alive. A few extra were included (just in case some didn't make the trip). The shrimp are well packed and insulated. I wouldn't order them all year around, be sensible about the temperature in your area. I live where it is nice this time of year but too hot for live shipping in the summer. I have a narrow window to order stuff like this so them arriving alive is very important. They have a 'arrive alive' guarantee but if it is too hot (or too cold) then it doesn't really matter. Getting it right the first time is what counts. They did get it right. There were also some fry (AKA babies) in with the adults. This is something that cannot be helped when bagging the adults. I collected them and put them in a different tank so they can grow in peace. Having fry in with the adults is a good sign that the mother colony is vibrant. Conclusion: It's always a gamble to buy live animals online and have them shipped. The trick is to improve the odds buy purchasing at the right time of year and from a vendor that manages for weather and other issues that can come up. I'm pleased. UPDATE: After several months the shrimp from the first order thrived. So I ordered again. The second order was not as good as the first. The first had extra shrimp. This one only had the 10 and 3 of them were dead on arrival. I will still buy from this vendor though. The shrimp are excellent and some loss is reasonable. I just wish they had put extra like last time so I would have still ended up with 10. I live in a place that has warm weather, even this time of year. I was worried about the shrimp. They came to the mail box, which worried me even more. Fortunately, I got a notification and was home so I was able to get them out within two minutes. I took the box home and opened it to find it full of insulation material in the middle of which was an insulated pouch in which the shrimp were placed. They put in extra shrimp just in case so instead of the 10 I ordered there were 14. That's a nice bonus. Even nicer is the fact that they were all alive. Not only alive, but quite lively. None of them were lethargic or showed any signs the journey had been tough on them. I acclimated them via drip for about an hour and a half and then introduced them to the main tank. They immediately started foraging for food and exploring the tank. It's worrisome to buy livestock online and I have only done it three times. One of those times was a disaster which kept me from doing it again for a long time. It was the live arrival guarantee that pursuaded me, and the fact that the purchase is through Amazon. I am pleased with the purchase, the speed of shipping, and the condition of the shrimp. That leads me to one more point that is important to make - the shrimp are large, no small ones in the bunch, and clearly have been taken well care of by the breeder as they are very bright red. All in all I couldn't be more pleased.

I was really impressed with the shrimp I received. Although I saw the rave reviews there is always that fear that you will be the unlucky one to get a bunch of dead shrimp. However, they were all happily fluttering around in the bag when I took them out of the package. The clear bag was wrapped in a silver sealed bag to retain warmth with the box it was in surrounded by some sort of cotton/fiber insulation material from all sides. The bag had 13 shrimp and everyone was alive. I was also impressed with the size and the color was very nice. I did drop acclimate them at 1-2 bubbles per second for 45 minutes to give an easier transition to my tank water. I’ve seen other people who just plop them in after floating the bag and have had success as well. When I put them in they got right to work as you can see in the video cleaning up little bits of algae from my nano tank. So cool to watch as your tank is cleaned before your eyes. Thank you so much for taking the time to send high quality shrimp at an affordable price and using good quality packaging to make sure they got happily to my house. Not sure about other areas, but if I were to get this many shrimp at my local fish store it would have been over $100. So I can spend that money on other useful things for my tanks.

I ordered a variety of colors from this seller to put together a skittles tank. I think all shrimp - including brown wild type are cute and fascinating. So, I am clearly not overly concerned with grades and color quality, etc. All I can say on that is these shrimp were all appropriately vividly colored and very cool to look at. :) A majority of the shrimp arrived spunky and commenced ravenously grazing in the tank after a good drip acclimation. Received one or more berried females in each color, which was a definite bonus. They all seem to have held their eggs through the move, so I am super excited about that. In the past week, my tank has been covered with successful molts, which I consider a good sign. I did have a bit of bad luck with the initial shipment of red cherries from this seller. The weather turned unexpectedly cold mid-shipment and the bags on top just had a bit more exposure I think - no one's fault really. But, only 5 of the red made the trip alive. The seller responded to my message through Amazon within 24 hours, as promised. Replacements were immediately provided with no argument and I now have 6 live ones in their place - so 1 extra. :) I did do my best to provide the seller pictures of the bag/bodies immediately upon receipt before opening, which I recommend you take on any livestock purchase. It's only fair to the seller. Overall, I am very happy with my purchases and the seller's willingness to respond to and resolve issues quickly when they did come up. Can't ask for much better! :)

I ordered 10 of these Fire Red Cherry Shrimp and every single one arrived alive, healthy, and super active right out of the bag. Their color is stunning—bright red that really pops against plants and substrate. Within a day they were exploring, grazing nonstop, and adding so much life to my tank. The shrimp were carefully packed with insulation and arrived stress-free, which I really appreciate. These are definitely high-grade quality; you can see the difference compared to regular cherries sold elsewhere. If you’re looking to add some vibrant cleanup crew and personality to your freshwater tank, I highly recommend these. I’ll definitely be ordering again as my colony grows!

I was very skeptical about ordering, but I took the plunge and I’m glad I did. I wanted to start a 20 gallon long shrimp tank and they were $5.49 a piece for translucent miniature baby cherry shrimp at my local fish store. When I opened the box, it was stuffed full of insulation and it was all packaged very well! When I got to the bag that the shrimp were in, I saw that they were all alive and hanging onto a plastic piece of green netting. I ordered the 10 pack, I believe they sent a few extra but I couldn’t get an exact count, after acclimating them and putting them in my tank, they went wild and were very active, it’s heavily planted and they seem to love hanging out in the hornwort and grazing at pieces I’ve covered with Java fern. I still can’t quite get a head count, but I’ve searched for any dead ones and I have not found any dead so they seem to be doing great. I plan to order more after I get my 75g back up and established. I recommend this seller and these shrimp to anyone interested, I have had a very great experience since they were delivered 5 days ago. Again, at local fish store, $5.49 for mini translucent baby shrimp would’ve cost me $55.00 plus tax for 10, these shrimp are very vibrant, and a great size, I’m very happy with them!

Just ordered this on Wednesday, and it arrived friday evening which was amazing. Ordered shrimp from somewhere else from the same state and it took 5 days and 3 were dead. All shrimp from this vendor were alive and active, they even gave a few extra incase of DOA. Not only that, looks like 2 or 3 shrimp have eggs, and there was 2 tiny little baby shrimp in the bag i didnt notice right away. Im new to the shrimp hobby so I was very happy to see all this! They also came in a small insulated Styrofoam package and inside they were double bagged and the bags were secured with a metal thing around the top on both bags. I will be ordering from them again!! Unfortunately, not fault to the vendor, I thought my tank was ready when I ordered, and now I dont think it is. Unfortunately I'm not expecting the shrimp to survive, and I'm not proud of it in the slightest. So if anyone getting into the hobby sees this and isn't patient like me, please let your tank fully cycle. I just waited until after 7 days using Stability.

I only received 9 instead of 10 for some reason and 2 of the 9 were DOA which honestly was expected considering how long they are in transit which is why I kind of expected them to toss in an extra one or 2. Which I suppose they technically did because there were some eggs and a couple teeny tiny babies at the bottom of the bag. It was packaged really well in a Styrofoam box with a cool pack. I followed the included instructions for DOAs and was refunded for the missing and DOA shrimps. The remaining shrimps are doing great in my tank though! And honestly I think calling them high quality is pushing it a little as most of them are more pink than red. So like, not a bad purchase for the price and excellent seller communication. And the shrimps I have are doing normal shrimps things cleaning away at my tank so if you just want a red clean up crew, go for it! If you are trying to have a super high quality red cherry shrimp tank, maybe go to somewhere other than Amazon. But all in all I really can't complain for buying live cherry shrimp on Amazon lol
