We travel a lot with our 3 kids and have generally needed to carry both an air pump and an air mattress for the kids' beds. The built-in pump makes life SO much easier. I can finally stop worrying that we'll end up without the pump along somehow, since it's easy to get separated (which has happened more than once.) It inflates quickly, and they say it's comfortable to sleep on. When we got it out tonight at our most recent destination, they argued over who "got to" sleep on the air mattress and who "had" to sleep in the regular bed! I got a 2-inch-thick memory foam mattress topper to put on top of it for when we have guests at our house over Christmas, and I think with that added bonus, it's going to be nearly as nice as a regular bed. ... show more

I wanted a spare mattress for when family comes over for the holidays and no one has to draw straws for getting stuck on the couch. This one was surprisingly light, and inflates quickly without issue. Love the newer design of internal pumps, I remember the nightmare of dealing with loud, slow, bulky air pumps on camping trips from days past. The mattress top is comfortable and soft and the added height is a nice touch. Feels sturdy and although had a bit of a plastic smell right out of the box, has faded over time. My biggest issue is I'm not sure how to store this, I can't get it folded as nicely as it arrived so it's just being stored bundled (poorly) in a cardboard box for now, but that's a me problem, no fault of the product. We got this to use for a camping trip. The air mattress is easy to setup and we love that it has a built in pump. For a twin-size bed, it took a little time to inflate it. The mattress topper is soft to touch and really comfortable. The quality of this air mattress is great. It has hold up to our dog that is about 90lb jumping onto it so far. Internal pumps are where it is at! I recently had a large catastrophic event in my town and we had to quickly setup sleeping arrangements for hundreds of crews in a short amount of time. Cots and air mattresses with internal pumps were what we got to setup shelter in school gyms. The amount of time saved with internal pumps was amazing. Having experienced this, I had to ditch our old camping mattress and get these newer, thicker, updated ones with the internal inflator and deflator and this one was the ticket. We live in a pretty big house where a lot of our family members are constantly staying. There are stimes where we do not enough room for everyone and I have been on the lookout for an air mattres that people can used, so when I saw this particular one pop up in my feed I knew this would make a great addition. The air mattress itself is easy to setup since it has a built in pump. It literally takes about a minute or so for it to fully inflate and ready to be slept on. It is also extremely comfortable.
