Assembly instructions were effortless to follow. The material of the table and hardware actually exceeded my original expectations I gathered based off the price. The woods integrity surprised me, to be honest. I wasn’t expecting much more than cheap particle board with a thin and feeble finish but in fact the wood is fairly dense and so far the finish has withstood hot ramen spills, rambunctious children, a rather clumsy husband, playful, large breed dogs and accidental chemical sprays that aren’t meant for its surface, without a single mark or abrasion left behind. It’s affordable in most cases and really adds a little character to the space. It’s versatile to say the least. It can be used as a simple coffee table, a desk, storage or all three simultaneously. I didn’t give it 5 star review due to a manufacturer error that was on my particular order that is plausibly a scarce occurrence. One bolt is cross threaded so bad on one of the hydraulic arms that it was completely ceased up and I couldn’t get it off in order to screw the hydraulic arm’s mounting structure into the wood without some difficulty. Which would’ve been fine except the bolt is ceased up closer toward the middle of the thread on the screw that holds the hydraulic arm in place which is supposed to be soft close. Because of this, the edge of the table top ever-so-slightly skims the brim of the stationary top next to it which makes the close a little more abrupt than advertised. Overall, I would highly recommend purchasing this piece of furniture to anyone looking for a new coffee table as it pairs well with almost any style home and will hardly leave a mark at all, if any, on your bank account. ... show more

Now that I'm over the trauma of assembling this by myself, I rather enjoy this table. It's a good size. I love that it rises and has storage inside. There are also two compartments on one side to hold a few items like remotes or standard size books. The color is nice. It's sturdy. It has weight to it but not enough to hinder moving it easily. The instructions aren't the best for assembling. I put the risers on wrong and had to redo them, which was a pain. It's also easier I'm sure with two people. ... show more

This was surprisingly easy to put together and everything lined up as it was supposed to. They even included extra hardware in case something was missing or damaged which was helpful. I love the pull top part and use it for eating on and am confident for that use. It is strong when opened but has the slow let down when closing. The only disappointment is it is very low, lower than I had been thinking. I'm 4'10" and the top just reaches the bottom of my kneecaps. ... show more

It took less than 2 hours to assemble, I recommend you guys have electric drills to make it. It’s a good-looking table with storage. However there’s a couple of cracks. I know sometimes it’d be hidden after being assembled, but I still DO see the crack every day on the side of my table. I can't understand why you guys put only one layer of Styrofoam in a box. The box was even cracked when it arrived, which was taped only one layer too. I saw many reviews related to crack issues. Maybe I should have chosen other products. ... show more

by myself this took me a long time to assemble..... like a few hours and i had to go out and buy a ratchet screwdriver to ensure the screws were safely installed but once i did that it came together great and it's been a great piece! the foot pads are cheap and immediately fell off so would recommend buying separate ones also if that's important to you ... show more

The table itself works amazing to hide things I do not want out. I can also use my laptop on the top when it's open. It's a fairly substantial piece and it's very nice looking. It seems to be well made but I will say not all the pieces are labeled with the direction to be placed meaning "this side up" so I did have to undo and redo some of the parts to make it work. I love the sturdiness and that it is heavier than expected! The screw sticker covers were a great addition. You gotta stand up to pull up from both sides to lift the table top part, but I love it! Very well worth the money. Looks high class!

I have this table 4 stars cause the only problem I have with it is u have to put a bit of effort into raising the top. Like u can't lift it with one finger. You have to use both hands on opposite sides of the hole were u grab to lift. If not it's not coming up. Other then that I love this table and for a small space it's perfect.
