The particle board top was thankfully only chipped and not cracked like some other buyers...assembly is straightforward although some of the holes don't line up perfectly and require a little mechanical prowess to get the fasteners on. Nice desk, but arrived damaged. May have been damaged prior to packing because the missing piece of wood wasn’t in the packaging. The box was pretty beaten up, so maybe the damage was during shipping and so just couldn’t find the missing piece. Covers for wires are flimsy, so just routed most wires behind the desk instead of through the holes. Motor is a bit loud, but no other complaints. Desk wobbled but customer service was quick to help and send me what I needed to fix the issue. Id suggest you get others to help just to make sure everything is correct. And if there are any issues, contact support.

Well ...what can you expect for the price. My first ordered was cracked in half but likely shipping a problem. They should do a better job reinforcing the heavy box. Overall, Average build quality, chip board with a nice rustic veneer. I had poor machining on two screws which required me to use a tap and die set (doubt most folks have that laying around) to fix it (because I need a desk now not a second returun). Silent motor operation, great instructions, nice rustic veneer. Smooth operation, refined edges. Overall, for the price below 160 on sale, I think it's worth it, just be ready to do a lil work and have some tools on standby. ... show more

Pros - Item was easy to assemble with well described parts and accessories. Assembly instructions were simple and easy to follow. Cons - As the picture shows there were pre-existing chipped wood on various places. All of this is on the top level where I cannot hide it :-( When you buy a brand new desk, this is not acceptable. Desk is also shaky and top doesn't stay still. I bought a standing desk from another store which was at comparable price but overall quality of that was much better, much sturdy and superior quality. ... show more
