I rearranged a space in my house and wanted a coffee table with versatile in its use. This offered space to store remotes and a light blanket or magazines. The push up top needs two hands to open (one from each side) just to keep it Saturday since it’s a light piece. However, it opens to a deep compartment of storage. I usually have a blanket in there. Very functional. On the other side there is another cubby I tuck the remotes in so I don’t have to pop it open. It was pretty easy to put together. Less than 30 minutes. It is a little more orange looking than I wanted but at this price point I’m not complaining. It’s exactly what I needed for a cheap price and I’m not willing to spend hundreds of dollars to get real wood. This looks just as good, it’s a mid-century look, so I’m happy. I think this table is a great value. It does take 2 people to build it, and the screwdriver included in the supplies is useless. We used an electric drill to speed things up. Be careful reading the directions, but its not more complicated than Ikea furniture. Table works as intended. I recommend being gentle when opening and closing the raised portion. Raised part stays secure with my laptop and a few things on it. My ~13 lb cat jumped on it in the raised position and it seemed to be fine. (It is not designed to hold more than 11 lbs.) this is a pretty decent coffee table. I took a star off because I can't get all the pieces to line up perfectly. The lift up part is a little wobbly, as in the screws don't stay as tight as I would like. But for the cost, it is worth it.
