Love the looks of this nice black coffee table.Assembly wasn't too bad by myself but what confused me was when I was finally done, I noted that the top was not sitting flush.It just happened that I had the top put in the wrong way which is easy to do with the somewhat unclear instruction but once you fix it, the table transforms into what it's supposed to be

I absolutely hate assembling these type of things..but this was quite easy to put together all by myself. I love this coffee table. It looks really nice and is super sturdy..no wobbling. I really enjoy how deep it is to store all of my stuff. The lift is really smooth. I highly recommend this table.

UPDATED 7/21/23: I was surprised to receive an email a couple of weeks ago from the seller offering to give me a partial refund for the coffee table and its flaw. I asked instead if it would be possible to send me another one just in case it actually did fit as it should and, lo and behold, it does! Very cool. There are a couple of instances with this replacement where something doesn't fit as it should (mainly a couple of screws), but nothing that compromises the item's function. I appreciate the seller's quick communication with me over the course of our exchange, and I'm glad that the replacement operates appropriately. Thank you. ORIGINAL: This is relatively affordable and matches the overall look I have in my apartment right now -- which is either good or bad depending on how you look at it. It arrived earlier than anticipated, which is nice. The biggest issue is the lift top portion of the table does not sit flush against the remainder of the piece. I took this completely apart twice to make sure I wasn't misinterpreting anything but I sit here now to report that in my case, it does not. It overlaps the adjacent portion of the table by 1/2". It's not horrible if you have the lift top extended all the time, but be warned. I'm also not a fan of the plastic feet, but that's a minor gripe compared to the items above. This took me about an hour each time I assembled it using a drill with bits instead of the included tools. It's fine; not amazing, and I'd be surprised if the company selling this does anything about the design error.

this table is perfect for me and I love the lift top and the color on this! assembly was relatively easy and the instructions were easy to follow. Just make sure you have two people to build this, and one of you needs to be strong or have a power drill! some places you need someone to hold the piece, the other person screws. and the screw holes are very shallow so make sure you've got someone with some upper body strength, because you've got about 30+ screws. over all I love it!

Edit: 07/12/2023 I have worked with the company to finally resolve this issue and they gave me the options for a replacement or a refund of product. Since it took a while, and needed a table within the time frame of original purchase, I had to buy another one since this one was not fully usable after its construction. I changed my rating from 1 stars to 4 stars due to being offered the option after the company finally saw my review months later and I was finally able to get resolution. -------- Firstly, I DISPISE building these types of items! I only chose this product due to the cost, the look online, the reviews, and the “easiness” it seemed to be for a single guy. 1.) Taking this out of the box was a nightmare. It looked well packaged from the outside, but when opening it up it was awful. Broken shards of Styrofoam, pieces of Styrofoam everywhere (chunks, little pieces, etc.). These pieces are also electrostatic and my apartment is dryer (have humidifiers), but it seems they wanted to stick everywhere. 2.) Instructions were awful to be honest. I actually thought I had a step followed only to find 2-3 steps after that I had to unscrew the hinged gasket pieces b/c they were on the wrong side of things. I had to unscrew them and switch the already made piece around to again match the diagram. The pieces don’t “tell” you if you are wrong and it seemed like a guessing game. So make sure to pay attention!! 3.) Styrofoam was sticking to every piece! 4.) The “wood” is particle board aka cheap af! Screwing the nails in with the metal Philips screwdriver was awful and somehow caused the hole to “chip and tear” while utilizing it. I ended up busting out my power drill b/c the time and energy it took to manually put screws in was awful. 5.) I was proud and happy that after about 2 hours of assembly I was on the final steps to place the “foot” pieces on the underside of this coffee table. As I was screwing them into place, I noticed one of them was slipping and not “screwing” in. I looked at it more closely and saw that it had no metal nail type screw bottom like the others and was flat and plastic! Now I don’t have a leg to balance the other 3 to complete stability! How frustrating and disappointing to say the least. I have to reach out to the company b/c the price vs. the quality vs. the tragedy of putting it together to find out at the end that the feet weren’t intact for proper use. This coffee table is useless currently which is very frustrating! Buyer Beware!

I am absolutely in love with this. My partner put it together and we literally use it everyday. It kind of wobbles on the way down but it fits perfectly when down and is super sturdy when you bring it up. One of our favorite purchases!!
