    • Finally - Great Age Appropriate Blocks!
I initially bought 3 sets of these blocks for my classroom of 8 two-year-olds. I looked all over for some good wooden blocks for them, and even purchased some more traditional blocks from a very common toy company, and when they came in they were way too small, even though the box said ages 2+. I had to return them. I bought two sets of these and my director bought one set for me so my class would have enough to play with all at the same time. They are amazing. They are easy to stack, easy to line up, nobody fights over the colors, because they are all plain. We did have a few fights over the little dolls, but there were enough to go around. I’m so happy I found them! They are a little pricey for a school setting. One set is enough for one child, but if you need more they add up. I saw that many of the reviews left here were from people who got them for free, so I reached out to the company to ask if I could get a discount on a few more sets - we could definitely use more, but we have a budget to stick to. They were very polite and patient with my questions but ultimately no, I was not given a better discount. As of this review I have purchased 4 sets of these blocks (with an Amazon coupon that’s hopefully still available) but I most certainly did not get them for free. These are terrible and way to small for anyone under 3 or anyone who puts things in their mouth I don’t recommend at all UPDATE: the company reached out to me & I didn’t realize that they’re for age 3 & up so that was my bad but the company was very nice and accommodating I definitely change my mind on this item Extremely cute for kids who like to play with rocks (atleast you know these are clean) ... show more

    • Small set- photos are deceiving!
This set seems fun and very well-made, but it is much smaller than I anticipated. The pictures do not show the true size. I don't think it will work for my classroom so I am returning this set, but it would be good for a child at home!

This box of musical instruments is super cute and really cool. It's like a beginning stage for young musicians in the making. It comes with a wood tone block, tambourine, xylophone, rain maker, maraca, and then a stacking tower. Each instrument is wooden, smooth, and sounds really good. It's a good set for different ages, I think. Really introduces them to instruments, sounds, music, and helps with eye to hand coordination. My one knock is that the tambourine flat part is easily breakable. Learned that after four year old tripped and stepped on it. Doesn't ruin the shaking part of the tambourine, but not able to hit it flat in the middle anymore. So, be careful about that. ... show more

My youngest loves the xylophone and my older children love the tambourine and maracas. They love playing music together and this set is durable and nicely made and sturdy!

My granddaughter definitely has a musical inclination and this package of various percussion instruments is perfect for her! They are solid, well-made instruments which seem as if they could take a beating from little hands. There is a xylophone, a rain stick, a tambourine, a maraca, and a guiro (Latin American instrument with an American washboard sound). Oddly enough, there is also a stacking ring toy that I guess a child could figure out how to make music out of. The one criticism is that the smallest bar on the xylophone does not make the right sound. It must be too tightly bolted in, but I think I might be able to fix it. I love the rhythm instruments . They are very good quality, well constructed. The xylophone has a beautiful sound and the notes are labeled on it c to c. Each piece came individually wrapped in tissue. But the problem is that the write up about these instruments says they are for kids one year up but the box says 3 years up. And there are definitely parts not appropriate for a one and two year old. The write up description needs to be changed. ... show more
