    • Had some trouble but maybe my fault
They seem great, very sturdy and easy to get on and off the wheel, only problem I had was they are so thick that the tire did not want to go underneath them into the drop area, it just kept the tire even further off making it harder to mount. But maybe I'm not using them right or it's the low profile tires on my stock Nissan Sentra alloys that are the problem. I had to fight with them regardless on my manual tire changer with duck bill upgrade. I ended up getting the tire mounted without using them, but I'm sure they'll work great on other types of tires... or maybe with time I'll figure out if I can make them work better with these. If you have low profile tires I'd recommend looking at some other alternatives first. ... show more

    • Absolutely necessary for compact tractor tires!!!
The tires on my JD 1026r were over a decade old, and while not completely worn down, oxidation caused the sidewalls to crack and eventually one gave out. So I ordered a complete set of tires and since tractor tires don't need balancing, decided to mount them myself. Small tractor tires are the WORST of both worlds when it comes to mounting them on small diameter wide rims. They act like a low profile tire on one hand, and the tread is ridiculously thick and non-compressible on the other. I got the tire bead breaker from Harbor Freight and while the old tires came off easy enough, I spent the next THREE HOURS trying to mount ONE. After some searching I found these bead clamps, and was confident in the reviews. These clamps are super durable, and allowed me to actually compress the tractor tires enough to get the bead on the small diameter part of the rim and then get the other bead set. Still a huge chore that left me pretty sore (free rhyme for you there) but without these clamps, I would have been paying $150 to get these mounted. Don't expect these to make it miraculously easy. They make it so it isn't impossible, which was worth the price. ... show more

    • Worked great.
Just changed my front tire for my Harley Road King using the Rabaconda Street Tire changer and these drop center tools and they worked well. Installed easily, held the tire in place well, and removed easily.

    • Slip on some wheels
Depending on the wheel these may slip and pop out on you. I've had these work great and I've also had them not stay put on the wheel mainly with Enkei RPF-1s due to the shape of the rim on those wheels. You can take a piece of thin rubber like used for gasket making, fold it over, and wrap it around the edge of the rim before installing these to give them a little bit of grip on the rim so they don't slide and pop off. Should have gotten this way sooner for how much it spares us in elbow grease at the shop. Easy to use and a big help. Nice and sturdy plastic material.
