    • Pleasant and entertaining romp
Plot-based movie with some stock figures with stock assumptions about government and coverups - but the leads were fleshed out and developed. The plot was intriguing. Level was halfway between Young Adult and adult. I’ve binge-watched the series a few times. It does not stretch the intellect nor does it appeal to one’s emotions particularly, but it is a good yarn - engrossing - and sufficiently pleasing to watch when entertainment without sex or violence is what you’re looking for. I suppose this is SciFi technically, but really it is just lightweight action drama with a SciFi element (the strange creatures). The one thing that gave me a laugh was in episode 107 when a government file is opened and shows “Dissapearance” - folks - it is one “s” and two “p”s! (Disappearance). The whole bathosphere from an old metal tank was ridiculous - but, with willing suspension of disbelief, it worked for the plot. Just don’t try that at home kids! Lol, but really, an antique rusted & riveted boiler to the ultimate depths of the ocean? With glass from a regular boat as windows, & wielded/installed by someone who has school-level metal shop?     • 15 episodes of something that leads to a dead end! Biggest TV let down in history!
I just watched 15 episodes of a television series that has no story. Its a television series with no clear plot, theme, characters going nowhere... I am scratching my head asking what was the point. This is the greatest example of a group of people taking what seems to be a good idea and creating nothing and then forget what the idea was in the first place. Its almost as if someone needed to spend some money for a write off and gave a check to a group of kids and asked them to go make a home movie. ... show more

    • The food chain gets flipped completely over!
What if. . . humankind was no longer the top of the food chain? And, what if the surface of the Earth was no longer viable to sustain Humankind? SURFACE strives to tell the story. Entertaining, mysterious, shocking at times, juvenile at other times, SURFACE combines points from a variety of other sci-fi tales into a unique, enveloping series. I give it four stars.
