This is a powerful shaver. Unlike battery powered travel shaver that will lose the power gradually, this rechargeable shaver keeps its power all the way until the battery run out. Before recently I had almost exclusively shaved with a multi-blade razor. Infrequently I would use a rotary style electric shaver. I just found that the electric shaver would require pass after pass and still would leave patches. Somewhere in my past I had gotten that foil shavers were inferior to rotary (guess I bought into the Norelco commercials). Very recently I gave a cheap foil razor a try and was very impressed. So much so that I bought a middle of the road Panasonic foil shaver. But the Panasonic is a little large for short trips and I wanted a small portable shaver for these times. I also did not want to risk the more expensive shaver getting damaged in transit. This Suprent two head foil shaver measures 2.5" x 4.5" x 1". It charges from a standard USB-C connection. Both the size and the charge method are attractive for travel. (Sure smaller shavers are available, but those normally are single head.) Now in all my research what I've learned is the foil shavers are best with short facial hair. Like for people that shave daily. They do not normally perform as well as rotary shavers for people that might go a couple days between shaves. Such as the face in the attached "before" photo. But as you should be able to see in the "after" photo this shaver did an excellent job at getting a close shave. Did the Suprent perform as well as the more expensive Panasonic? NO. Would I plan to use this as a daily shaver? NO. Would the Suprent work as a daily shaver? YES. Would I take the Suprent on trips? YES. In summary, the Suprent two-head foil shaver is a decent lower end shaver for those on a budget or for those, like me, wanting a travel shaver. ... show more

    • A good shaver, but perhaps not at this price
This is a fine shaver; it does a good job — certainly cutting close enough for most people. It charges fast and seems to run quite a while on a charge. It's easy to clean, too. In short, thumbs up for the quality. Unfortunately, it's not really a $70 shaver. You can get as good a shave for less — there's nothing particularly special about this model that warrants that price point. You won't go wrong with this (as other reviews have noted), but you probably want to wait for it to go on sale. ... show more

    • Double foil is better. Powerful shaver
This shaver design provides two foils instead of one. I had been using single foil shavers for over 20 years, they are perfect for daily use, specially if you have to shave more than once a day, but when I tried this double foil, I was impressed. I have seen it before, but never tried. They save you from having to go over and over when shaving, basically, it cuts the time almost in half. The battery power lasted for almost a week before I needed to recharge it again. It’s powerful, and the power is consistent. The design allows for a good handling while shaving, and for a secured grip of it. Keep in mind that because it is a “foil” shaver, it’s good for daily shave, if you don’t shave for a couple days, or if your hair is too long, it will not work properly; you’re going to have to trim your hair first with clippers or a trimmer before you can shave using this foil shaver.     • Nice Ergonomic Razor
My husband loves this retro-looking foil razor. He hasn't had one that looks like this in many years. He used to use Norelcos, and he says that while this isn't the equal of those expensive models, it's no slouch. It's also ergonomic and small enough to be great for travel. The razor holds a charge a long time. It comes with a charging cord, though not a transformer, but any ordinary USB plug will work with it. Impressively, it comes with a spare foil, so the razor will last a long time before you need to buy a replacement foil. It also comes with a brush for cleaning. The razor gives a fairly close shave, even when you're working through a few weeks' growth. He's very happy to have it and uses it regularly. ... show more
