I really like how these shelves look after being installed. However, the installation as written was really bad, the anchors that came with the shelves quickly came out of the wall and didn't hold up the shelf once something was on it. Since the brackets are wider than the average distance of the studs these would be installed into dry wall only, which isn't great. Instead, we drilled new holes into the shelves to have them perfectly mounted into studs, since then, they've been sturdy! I recommend finding the studs and then drilling new holes into the shelf so that you don't have to use the anchors, I wouldn't even bother with using the installation steps that came with it. ... show more

The instructions are easy to follow. I was glad wall anchors were included because I installed the shelves on drywall. I wanted the shelves to be a series of steps for the cat to reach a higher surface; they did just that!

The anchors ended up pushing through the wall as we were installing the screws, so we ended up having to pull them back through, leaving large holes. Luckily we had other anchors that were big enough for the holes, but still worked with the included screws. The instructions make the mounting process a little more complicated than it needs to be, I mounted the bracket to the shelf first, then held it against the wall with a level sitting on it, then marked the holes for the bracket. That way I knew they were the correct distance AND level. Edited to add: loved them so much we bought an additional set for my craft supplies! ... show more

    • Great for the money but CHEAP anchors.

TLDR; Cheap anchors but durable and aesthetically pleasing. I bought this shelf to install above my washer & dryer. Shelf arrived quickly and packaged with easy to read instructions. Two of the anchors that were included with the shelf broke in half during installation. They should include sturdier anchors like metal ones with the shelf as I had to go to Home Depot and purchase anchors to get the shelf assembled. Once I got the shelf up i put as much stuff on it as possible to see how durable it was and how much weight it could hold. I was impressed because I got all my detergent and some other random items on it. Overall I would recommend this shelf to anyone looking for one, just make sure you purchase wall anchors too. ... show more

They came within 2 days and were mostly perfect, a minor chip here and there noted but not noticeable when on the wall. I only have had them up for a day so I’m not sure how long they will last but they look nice and feel pretty durable. The directions on installation were a little off but my fiancé was able to put them up easily. ... show more

    • Completely Inaccessible Top Holes

These would’ve been absolutely amazing if it weren’t for the fact that the top hole on each of the brackets are completely inaccessible due to the angle of the diagonal bar running in front of the hole. I’m giving them 1 star for the amount of scratches and dents i just put in my walls trying to drill the top hole into place. My drill cannot reach the hole at all, so i had to unassemble the brackets from the shelves and turn the brackets sideways in order to reach the hole. I actually completely stripped one of the screws in the process of trying to drill it in at such a harsh angle that i am now on my way to the hardware store just to find some way to get it out my wall. I’m almost frustrated to tears, which is a shame because they would have otherwise been very easy to assemble and they look great too. ... show more
