  • Great little tool
This crimped is defect for crimping the rings in tight spaces. You know when it’s crimped all the way. And if you question it just verify with a piece of paper trying to slid in between the back. I think it actually does better than the big crimper but does take longer. A necessity if you are remodeling and have tighter areas you need to crimp. Just keep crimping and tightening the vice grips. ... show more

  • works like it should
It could be difficult to use in very tight situations. Like if a pipe is coming up through a sill plate and it's too close to a wall and you can't bend the pipe out enough to get the crimper around it. I use a large pair of vise grips. Use a slight crimp for the first squeeze then release turn the knob a half a turn squeeze release turn the knob and other half a turn squeeze release if you're not sure that you squeezed it enough try to slide a piece of notebook paper between that you have at the spot closest to where you would put the pliers if you can get the piece of paper in there you got to keep going keep squeezing keep turning. Then also make sure you check it with the go no go gauge. ... show more

  • It makes the crimps
this tool is dependable and it makes a good crimp on the pex. I only used it for 1/2" pex. It does take a lot of hand strength to use this tool, but it does fit in small places and is a good product for for the do-it yourselfer. If your doing your whole house with pex then buy a professional crimper, but if you have only about 20-30 connections, then this product will save you some money. ... show more

  • Well it great for the money but sucks cause you also need some other tool
You need either a pair of vice grips or channel locks or something of the like in order to make a crimp with these and it doesn't come with it in other words you also have to have your own in order to make a crimp also not as easy as they make it seem actually quite difficult and the thing they give you to check the crimp i think is quite useless cause i can't figure out how it's supposed to work but in short does it crimp yes but not as easy as they make it seem ... show more

  • A nice alternative
The media could not be loaded. I enjoy the portability of having a crimp tool that fits in my back pocket and the design is is good on paper but a little difficult to maneuver. My major concern is the joint that keeps slipping. It's a pain doing service calls for water heaters since I have to be wrestling with 3/4 lines which in the video requires a lot of prefabbing just to get it to line up properly and it often times hard to see if it crimped it evenly as the joint tends to slip more on 3/4 lines. Overall I like the extra option but the design it's could use some work ... show more

Crimped some fitting after a pipe busted it was a simple fix

  • 1 cheap tool, 3 sizes=best value ever
Love this tool. Vice grips required to achieve a proper crimp, you can't do it with pliers. This is by far the cheapest way to crimp your own fittings, and cover different sizes with one tool.

  • Five Stars
This tool did a good job. Every crimp sealed like it should. It is really not hard to use. Place the correct opening over the crimp ring and squeeze by hand and the tool will usually stay in place. Then clamp down on it with a large pair of vise grip pliers. You need to clamp it several times adjusting the vise grips a little each time until the jaws of the took come together. Instructions included with the tool. If you need to do a whole lot of crimps however, the more expensive crimper would be a better choice. ... show more
