I needed something that could shoot the snow on my steps over the giant snow piles that have accumulated. It works! We’ve now had 3 snow storms since this snow thrower arrived. I’ve learned that it does great with more than 2 inches of dry snow. It bogs down a little and the battery doesn’t last as long with heavy wet snow. Doing a herringbone pattern on sidewalks works best. This will now be our “go to” tool for most snow storms with less than 6 inches, even on our driveway. It’s much much much lighter and easier to maneuver compared to our snowblower. One battery charge seems to get all our walkways and part of our driveway.

Works great for surface snow removal and throws the snow really well. Only good for topical snow removal. Does not have the power to cut down to the surface if there is more than a few inches of snow. Good value for the money. We use it to keep our deck cleared and keep a passage for our dogs to go out the back door.

Here are my thoughts on the shovel so far: There are three things I don’t like about that shovel. 1. The width of the shovel is only 12”. Seems very small. 2. The battery doesn’t last as long as I need it to but next year we’ll buy a bigger battery that will last longer. This year we’ll just deal with it since tomorrow is March. Battery lasts about 30 minutes before it dies. Invest in a larger one. 3. I wish the trigger had some kind of lock on it so you don’t have to keep pressing it down. Sounds silly but after holding it for 20 minutes it gets HARD. 4. The battery takes several hours (4 hours) to charge up again once it dies. What I do like about it is: 1. it makes the work go fast and easier. 2. It’s fun to see the snow fly as you shovel it away. 3. Kids can use it too and have fun while working.

Starting with 5 stars because it's attractive, arrived on time, easy to assemble, etc, etc. Seems like a really nice, well-made, power shovel. Unfortunately, bought it as a xmas gift for my son, and then we didn't get any snow at all the entire season. Very unusual. I suspect we're in for it bad next winter! I think we stored it well and it will be fine for next winter.

Disappointed, I invested enough time to try to figure out how to assemble this snow thrower. In most cases I am able even though the manual instructions are not descriptive enough or use wrong terms. In this case a comment “you may have to move a wiring inside the tube to one side if it blocks the path of the bolt. What wiring? There is no wiring. There are screws in the plastic. Simply put joint-fixing knob is non functional. It almost looks there is a mismatch of parts from possibly a different model or a design/manufacturing flaw. Middle pole cannot be latched to a lower pole assembly because it does not go deep enough which was suppose to be a function of joint-fixing knob but this unit’s one dies not do anything fir the two bottom parts to latch. It would be helpful if Super Handy attaches instructional video step by step how to assembly their product because instructional booklet is not helpful at all. I was exhausted trying to figure out how to assembly to bottom parts but had to eventually conclude the product is defective.

Read others' reviews and the instructions! I tried it out at first without a full charge on the battery and gave it a good whirl! Didn't last too long, but the instructions clearly stated it needed a good charge before 1st use. When purchasing, I understood that the battery charge was time limited and could be a barrier depending on the individuals' needs. I found the time limit highly compatible for me personally, to avoid strain and hypothermia in cold temperatures. Great buy for the perfectionist! The battery time won't allow me to "overdo" any shoveling. Good light weight, but my arms were still be tired the next day for times that required a good stretch in use (the front sidewalk). The cordless feature is the cincher to purchase as my sidewalk shoveling need is dreadedly far from an electrical outlet.

I purchased this truly easy to understand and lightweight shovel back in February of this year. I didn't get to use it. I could not find the battery or charger that came with it. I contacted the distributor, and they worked so hard with me on getting replacements. I'm thrilled with this product. The customer service was outstanding. I don't want to say I can't wait to use it, but I can't. I highly recommend this ,especially for disabled persons like myself.
