The audio pick-up was to general for use in the dining hall, and Mom got all tangled up in the cord. But when we used it during a doctor appointment or for private conversations with her, it worked well. Especially helpful for use when 4 yr old great grandchildren wanted to talk with mom ( age 100). I began to lose my hearing about a month ago. I tried two other OTC hearing aids from Amazon, but the earbuds wouldn't stay in place. This hearing aid actually works with the headphones! The sound is good and you can understand people. TV sound is a little "iffy" but not a deal breaker. If you are having a problem with earbuds, give this hearing aid a try.     • Picks up alot of background noise
This was purchased for my father who refuses to wear actual hearing aids. We had alot of issues in the beginning with feedback and him adjusting to it. Now that we've worked that out, for the most part they do work pretty well and better than any other otc hearing device we've tried. It does pick up alot of background noise at times. I will say their customer service is wonderful though. I spoke with them a few times trying to resolve problems and they were always helpful. For his situation, these will work out well enough as they do help him have ability to watch tv in the same room with the rest of us. ... show more
