  • Great Stuff!
Worked and cured well - watch a few project videos first, and you'll be pouring resin like a pro in no time. Very low VOC - can be used indoors without mask as a result, which is HUGE! Make sure your pouring surface and work area is at least 65 degrees F for best results... and keep a hand torch ready, as just a quick pass of the Bernzomatic open flame will remove troublesome and unsightly "bubbles" that form during the early curing phase (before the epoxy sets). Took the dyes flawlessly, I had light gray base with blue and moss green details for walls, snow white for the ceiling (it was a multi-color, multi layer, multi piece custom bath enclosure) - sorry for the blurry image. Project came out looking great, the edges sealed perfectly with silicone, custom fit shower enclosure is 100% waterproof. Beware "buggy" grades of plywood as pouring substrate: I used a construction-grade 1/2 plywood as my flat base - and though nothing of it, as a good strong substrate. But if you use plywood as a base, especially construction grade, be careful as many commercial grade plywoods can have small "bugs" living just below the surface! I was unaware of this, and when my first coat of epoxy went on, I had to spend several minutes and intervals during curing picking "bugs" (small, gnat-like critters) which migrated out from the sub-layers of the plywood. At first i though I had a hole in my window screen, but no, they were coming from inside the plywood, and migrating INTO my lovely epoxy resin! Honestly I have run into this issue before, when 1st-coat painting fresh plywood projects - so it was more of a distraction, and actually did not harm the wood, the piece, or the project. It was just annoying, picking gnats out of setting epoxy... had I used particle board or another substrate, I would not have had this issue, so "my bad" but no harm done. I will definitely purchase this epoxy again: And excellent product, handles and performs very well, easy to use and "master"... looking forward to my next epoxy project! ... show more

  • Good value for the money
I'm sure it was used error, but I had a lot of micro bubbles when it was finished and getting an even finish was a bit of a struggle. It's been fairly durable on our dining table. I did get some scuffs from moving it into the house from scraping on the door frame. It is very clear and seems like a great quality product ... show more

  • Follow the directions and don't be skimpy
This stuff is amazing! This was the first time I used the product. Put a nice 1st coat to seal your project then apply a liberal 2nd coat allowing it to flow. Be aware that it will drip of edges if not diligent about drop cloths or taping. Beautiful, clear hard coating when dry!

  • Easy to mix, hardens without being sticky. Had to torch the bubbles every pour
The cost of this resin was very good for 1 gallon. It mixes easily at a ratio of 1:1 by volume or 1:.83 by weight (my preferred method). It requires a 3 minute stir/mix time in the usual manner for mixing resin (scrape sides and bottom frequently). Recommended thickness per pour is 1/4 inch or less. Temperature and humidity recommendations are given in the instructions which are well detailed. I've had to torch the resin after every single pour because of the excessive bubbles but after lightly torching for bubbles, the resin is clear and hardened within 12-24 hours with no stickiness on any of my finished casting projects. I would buy this resin again because of the low price and it works well but plan to have the torch handy. ... show more

  • Good, Hard epoxy with a long work time
I've used a ton of epoxy over the last few years on a multitude of projects. This epoxy is the best if you want something thats easily workable with a long work time that dries very hard. It is not the best for "self leveling" due to its long work time and "thin" feeling consistency out of the mix. AKA it will find any holes and drip through them. Make sure you have a plastic (or non permeable) cover below your work. Most of the epoxy I have worked with have been "thicker" out of the mix, and wouldn't penetrate my heavy canvas drop cloths. This did. Again these are not bad things at all, just something to keep in mind that this is what you are getting. The benefits of this epoxy is it drys to be the absolute hardest and scratch resistant I have every worked with. I use it as top coat which it works for perfectly when spread with a brush, then followed by a blowtorch to remove bubbles. ... show more

  • Resinate joy
I love this product. The mixing process is smooth and not temperamental in the least bit. The clear projects I have done are amazing and the color projects hold the color nicely. Mixing - works for volume or by weight Consistency- not too runny and pours very smoothly. Makes working with it easy. Colors and texture — adding colors can be tricky with some products. However liquids glass is pretty fool proof. The colors are true even after the product is dry. I have not had any fading. Processing time- liquid glass has an outstanding processing time. I can store a premixed amount and pour multiple layers and the finished product still looks amazing and clear. 48 hours from the last pour and I had a stable project. Curing - they have created some magic here. There is almost no oder and what ever you smell is just a hint. There is also very minimal chemical heat reaction. I have been able to use styrofoam as a place holder for sinks and it has not melted it like other products have in the past. Finishing process- the end results have been amazing. The resin can be milled, or polished and has been highly durable I have finished with their countertop pour and other companies product just to test it out. End results are still stunning. Highly recommend liquid glass- for the price and the product outcome you can’t beat it. ... show more
