These sliders are the cat's meow. I had to pick up the coffee table and the end tables to move them when needed. I purchased the 3 1/2'' sliders and WOW, I can move any of the tables with one finger. I have extra thick padding under medium shag carpet and those tables get very comfortable in their placement. There was `NO' sliding them 'Ever'. Now its effortless to move them when vacuuming.
