The dryer sits atop a set of utility drawers that came as part of the sale. I used this and then placed sliders under each leg. The device worked wonderfully! It snapped together easily. The handle is long enough to provide plenty of leverage. I did not need the blocks that come with it since the dryer/drawer sits low enough to the floor. But the blocks will come in handy for future lifts of other furniture. I feel it worth mentioning that I first looked at purchasing one of those sliding mats for moving washers, dryers, and refrigerators. But those would be limited use items, whereas this furniture lifter is more versatile. It has a powdered coating on the lift tool. The handle on mine arrived scuffed up. The lift edge was intact. I worried that with no other coating or lining, that this might scratch heavy items on the undersides. I was doing this alone, and it was too hard to tell if I did any damage using this metal lift. I did not see any residue on the tool afterwards. It would be comforting if the device had some type of protective coating, or padding, or something to ensure I am not damaging the underside of whatever I am lifting.

What a joke. Shoddy design and even shoddier fabrication: two pieces of hollow metal pipe that don’t even stay connected; the one piece slips right out of the other – you have to stick them together with electrical tape which is hilarious to begin with. Assuming the electrical tape holds, the complete gizmo is so short that you have to stoop way down to use it – just bend down another couple of inches and you might as well hoist the bottom edge of the sofa up WITH YOUR BARE HANDS; it only needs to be tilted 1/4 inch in order to slip a furniture moving pad underneath the leg. Depending on the design of the sofa, there are multiple other points at which you could apply some pressure to get each leg to lift that tiny bit that you need. The ‘kit’ comes with four plastic doodads whose height is supposed to give the crowbar-wannabe some added leverage. But they just slip around on the floor and the hollow metal pipe bends under the weight of anything > 200 lbs so unless you are really just staging a scene for a Laurel & Hardy movie, this is a complete waste of time and money.

This was brilliant. I have a huge executive desk in my office and the flooring is med-high pile carpet. It would previously take my son and I all our strength to try and move it. With this tool, I could lift it by myself with one hand and put sliders under the legs with the other hand, and then it was smooth as butter.

Saw some negative reviews on this item but wanted to get to a project and was hoping this would suffice. It most certainly did. I had a large curio cabinet positioned on a rug that needed to be removed. I had tried to get the rug out from under this very large, heavy piece of furniture. This worked out great. Just needed enough lift to pull the rug out. Took a bit of work, but this tool helped out amazingly, and no problem with it bending our not holding up. I was so relieved I ordered it

It did OK for a one-time move but not the greatest. Obviously the wheels only go in one direction so you have to make sure all 4 rollers are going exactly the direction you want to travel, and then you have to adjust if you want to change direction. The rollers being shallow means you don't have to lift the corners of your appliance very high to slide them under, but if you're going over an uneven floor it's easy for a corner to slip off. The lifter was somewhat difficult to use - hard to keep the wheel on the one end upright and not have the whole thing flop over.
