Someone dented my car door at the movies with their car door and all of the places that repair them other than the dealership are closed down I didn’t want to pay a lot for the repair do I order the rent repair kit, so it was pretty easy to use after reading the instructions and watching videos and it pulled the ding out my door pretty quickly, the kit has everything you need to get the dent out except for paint, it will fix any small dents I had one from a rock that I pulled out as well, hey maybe the kit will help me start a business lol, I definitely recommend especially for the price you will save way more money than going to a dealership and the suction is strong so it will pull it out easy ... show more

I put the name of what I was reviewing here as at the time of writing this there are two different kits in the listing. This one is the basic Metal PDR Kit. I want to say that I gave the 4 stars based on the quality of the kit I received. In my opinion, the larger kit offered here is the better buy though because it has more tools, some of which are necessary to do a proper PDR repair. Such as the rubber hammer, the bridge dent puller, and the line board, none of which are included in this more basic kit I am reviewing. Preface this to say I am not a professional dent puller. I've been learning as I have an old vehicle with a lot of hail dents. Not worth the money to pay someone to fix it, but worth the time to learn to do it myself, I think. I feel like this is an ok starter kit for someone just wanting to start dabbling in PDR, but if you want to be a bit more serious, I'd spend the extra and get the larger kit offered here or you might be disappointed with some of your results. The "golden dent lifter" seems like a sturdy enough tool. You do have to assemble the feet on it. Comes with a good starting selection of tabs. I feel like it's a sturdy tool that will hold up to the amount of pressure you'd be properly applying with it. The glue sticks are a nice size, and the glue gun seems to be about your average hot glue gun. The tiny suction cup seems useless, and I notice it's not even included in the larger kit. I nice microfiber cloth was included, as were some soft gloves for small hands. I'm a large grown man and I can't even get them on, however. It does have a nice instruction manual on how to use all the tools in BOTH kits. Not just a copied paper but an actual bound pamphlet. Bottom line, if you just want to get an entry level here and try out some PDR, this might be a good starter kit, but in my opinion, a kit with more of the necessary tools would be a better value. ... show more

    • Could not remove a crease dent

We wanted to give this a try in removing a crease dent on our passenger door. It comes complete with pretty much everything you'll need. I was surprised at how many different attachments/shapes were included in this kit. I'm pretty sure it will take care of various dents down the road, but for the intended purpose right now, it didn't work. The crease dent is simple too deep and too small of a dent for any of the attachments. I did see videos that mentioned opening the dent, in other words making the dent bigger in order to be able to pull it up, but that seemed to require a lot skill and a lot of patience, which we do not have a lot of at the moment. All in all a great kit, and I'm sure it will come in handy in the future, especially when our kids start driving, lol. ... show more

I am not a body work professional, and I have only used a much more inexpensive bridge puller in the past. I received 2 paintless dent puller kits for review; this one, which is a more complete kit, and another with a slide-hammer style puller. After using the 2 kits side by side, I can say that I really prefer the bridge style puller. In my opinion it allows for more control. You can pull slowly, which if you watch any videos on the subject, is always recommended. I found the bridge tool of very high quality; it is very easy to adjust. The kit comes very complete with a really nice glue gun, and several types of glue sticks. The instructions are good, but I didn't see anywhere describing when to use the black glue stick vs. the yellow or clear ones. The kit even came with cotton gloves, which while thoughtful, were entirely too small for my hands. The selection of pull tabs was not the greatest when compared to the other kit I reviewed, but still very usable. Unfortunately, and as evident in my photos, I am not skilled enough yet to completely remove the dent in my truck, but I do think I improved it a bit after a number of pulls. For the price I think this is a pretty complete kit with a very low barrier to entry into a skill set that will pay for itself many times over. ... show more
