I ordered this file sorter to hang on the wall next to my desk. After opening the packaging, I was disappointed that tiny screws, nuts, and other items came pouring out of the box too. Some of the items were supposed to be attached to the end product and others were supposed to be in a parts bag. After getting all the loose parts and bagged parts together, I was fortunate to not have anything missing. Assembly is a little frustrating until you get enough of it put together to provide a little more stability. After finally getting it all put together, it hangs nicely on the wall. The item includes an assortment of wall anchors and screws to choose from to hang this up, but you only need two of them. Hanging on the wall, it is actually nice to have. If you are up for a small challenge of putting this together, I recommend the product.

When I opened the box, two very small components fell out, so I was momentarily scared that some parts were lost in transit. I retrieved the two parts from the floor and set them aside. One was a flat oval-shaped piece of steel with two drilled holes, the other was a very tiny threaded nut. After I opened the box again to remove all the components parts, including two small plastic zip-lock bags with some hardware inside, I checked them against the parts list on the instructions sheet. I discovered that I only had one piece of a small, steel, oval-shaped flat piece with two holes in it, but the list called out two of them. I searched the area on the floor where the first two parts fell out and could not find anything. But I decided to proceed and make a replacement if needed. In one of the the first steps of the instructions I was told to connect the two main body parts with two pieces of that part that had fallen from the carton! With only one I figured I would have to make another in my shop. Not a big deal but distressing to have to do that for a new product! Boy, was I relieved to find another flat, steel oval-shaped pice ALREADY attached to one side of the main body. It was then that I realized BOTH pieces were likely attached to the main body of the wall-mount file organizer and I assumed they had come loose during transit! The small piece that had escaped when I first opened the box was the same as the one attached to one side of the unit! Assembly was very straightforward and the overall quality of the organizer was very good, The website description called the construction made of "iron", but it is actually in some kind of steel with a black coating, likely a heat cured enamel. The initial step to swing the sides into position and join together with the flat price I mentioned earlier was slightly like wrestling with an octopus because I was trying to assemble it in my lap. When I moved the project to a proper table, it was much easier. There was a screwdriver included the package for the Philips-head machine screws, but not a wrench to fit the very tiny nut on the other side. I feared finger-tight would not cut it, so I held the tiny nut with needle-nose pliers. I almost never would use pliers on a nut, but it was so small that none of my wrenches would fit. My only other difficulty was the instructions sheet parts graphic for the divider inserts did not clearly show that some dividers had hooks and others did not. I later learned about the hooks in the written instructions. I was a dope because they clearly tell you to insert the dividers into the second and fifth slots and make sure the hooks are engaged on the sides. So partly my mistake, but it would be better to show the hooks on the parts list graphic. The instructions did however mention there were four of one kind of divider and ten of another, and I picked up the wrong ones initially doing assembly. It is quite easy to see where the dividers with hooks were supposed to go. Again, my bad! The rest of assembly was uneventful and the whole thing was well stiffened when the dividers were properly inserted. In the end it is quite impressive, solid design and quality construction material, a nice baked-on finish and it provides plenty of file space and even has a small shelf at the bottom for Post-It pads or whatever. This thing will eliminate some of the clutter on my desk by providing a very well-organized place for working files that currently sit in a pile and an in basket, so I have to rifle through them to find a particular one! There is even a flat spot one the top left of each divider to add your own labels to help keep your workspace organized.

The instructions were not easy to follow. I'm fact I'm still trying to put it together days after receiving it so I don't think it's worth the high price tag. The picture on the listing looks nice but I can't tell you what it looks like in person as I still can't get it together and the quality isn't the best because it's thin flimsy metal. I got it to add to my family command center to organize paperwork for my large family but you can't use it for organization.

I love that this thing is so easy to put together and can fold up conveniently into a small pack if you need to take it back down and move it somewhere else. It took me maybe a whole 5-10 minutes to unpack it and put it all together. And it looks great when it's all put together as well and very professional.

Item is missing an essential D slat intended to hold the frame secure. Also two of the D slat rails are each missing one tube the hooks slide into. There are supposed to be 2 on each side. Definitely not worth the price.

Good for keeping a range of different forms available to grab easily. Each pocket has a place for a label so you can identify the contents. At a guess each pocket can hold about 50 sheets of printer paper. Maybe more. Assembly gets easier as you keep going because the various parts start holding the whole thing together. The basic structure just folds out with hinges, and then 4 screws and some wire bits hold it all together.. Being made of steel, and able to hold quite a bit of paper, you will want decent wall anchors to keep the whole thing from ripping off the wall.

I aseembled this within 15 minutes or less. This is exactly what I am looking for to organized and hang my files for billings. This hanging storage rack is sturdy and removeable. I even put my 2 packs of heavy cardstocks and it still holds really well.
