So I wrecked my bike recently doing a "little" over highway speeds (for those kind strangers that are worried, fret not, I'm relatively fine) and skidded quite a ways. Normally this wouldn't have tested a phone case as your phone resides in your pocket, but I landed on my right hand side and slid far enough to have my pocket completely torn open. When I stopped and crawled to the shoulder I realized I didn't have my phone to call an ambulance. I looked and saw it laying on the highway and hobbled over to grab it, the phone was still intact and functional. This affordable lil Amazon phone case had my phone survive getting ground on the freeway past highway speeds. Now obviously the case is a little banged up but its still usable to the point where I don't feel the need to replace it and my phone is hunky dory, not a scratch on it. In fact the case is still on my phone as I write this. I see a lot of buyers (at least I did when I bought this case like a year ago) complaining about the screen protector. Personally I've never had a real problem with it. I was planning on removing it after reading reviews but figured I'd keep it and haven't regretted that decision, it actually helped in the crash just a smidgen. The biggest con about the screen protector is the dust and stuff that gets behind it. Not an issue if you aren't super OCD about that kinda stuff but beware. The worst tho is when water gets into the cut outs for the selfie cam and junk. You do have to take it off then because capillary action sucks it in and the water sits on the screen and messes with the touch sensitivity but in the 11 months I've had this case that has happened like 3 or 4 times and it isn't a big issue, just take off the case and dry the screen. Not bad in my opinion. The only other downside I could see is there isn't a ton of obvious cushion in the case for impact absorption, but hey I life tested it for this long with many drops and that accident and my phone is still chugging along just fine. I would highly recommend this case. And after the accident I was impressed and joked to my friends about how I needed to make this review after showing them all the damage, and now I have. ... show more

    • Great case to protect your phone

I love these products for how well they protect my phone. This is my 4th one. It does what its supposed to, which is protect my phone from drops and spills. The case itself takes the damage and for the price, its well worth it to for me to buy a new case as needed. The only issue I run into is the kickstands are very easy to break. I continue to use the case though as its a "nice-to-have" and not necessary. PRO: I think the value is the best thing. I've had more expensive brand name phone cases famous for taking heavy damage, and I feel like this one is on par with that, but with a slimmer profile and lower price. CON: Marked durability down on my review due to the kickstand getting broken so ridiculously easily, but I feel like this case does exactly what I need it to by absorbing the damage so my phone doesn't, and its a good tradeoff for me. Easy to install and replace, and each of my cases has taken a lot of damage (screens get scratched, corners have cracks, kickstands broken), but the phone inside has remained in pristine condition. Buttons are easy to press, the headphone jack and power input covers press into place easily. Screen protector works great, but may collect a little dirt and lint thats hard to get out from the corners. I've had each case anywhere from 6-12 months. There is no cover for the fingerprint scanner or camera lens/flashlight, just a beveled opening so you can use them. I'm a happy customer, and will keep buying as long as I have this phone. ... show more

    • Great case, bad screen protector

Took a bit of research to see all that was available, and at the very least, this 'full size' case is definitely more stylish than the others on offer. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at how it didn't make my phone feel bulky. Probably partly thanks to the relief on the sides, making it easy to touch the outermost edges of the screen itself without issue (or ramming your finger against the lip of a case). Pros: Feels incredibly solid. Secured with the rubber coming all the way to the front and fitting into a slot around the edge; probably the best method I've seen of making a case secure. I definitely don't doubt its level of protection on drops and similar hazards. Less rounded edges make it look a bit better in my opinions. Also has covers for the USB and Headphone jack, which is sorely lacking in most cases these days. Just wish there was a cover for the S Pen as well to keep it all together. Although it doesn't necessarily prevent dust from getting in other places. Cons: The screen protector is probably worst in class. It has that old school 'dot matrix' showing, like the original glass screen protectors did back in the day. It's a fingerprint magnet, far worse than any other material I've ever touched, and I'm even seeing rainbow effects that I wouldn't normally see in this type of screen protector. The only real positive here is that there is built in screen protection, but it's definitely something I will remove entirely and replace with something else. In my opinion, it also slightly effects the touch sensitivity, but it sounds like thats par for the course on screen protectors that aren't adhered to the screen directly. Conclusion: Well worth the money I'd say. If you're already using a decent screen protector, all the better; just pop out the one that is attached to the top half of this case and you should be golden. ... show more
