Heavy-duty case, maybe a little too heavy. Squared-off corners make it difficult to put in pockets. Belt clip is sturdy, but the whole case arrangement is pretty bulky. There is a fold-out cover for the charging port that is difficult to open, and applies a hefty side load to the cord when inserted. This cover really doesn't do much except for make it difficult to open and plug in. I would cut it off with an X-Acto blade or similar. The built-in screen protector (plastic, not glass) is OK, but makes it almost impossible to activate the side menu. This Supcase is offers a lot of protection, but will be returning. I replaced it with a less robust model (but w/ glass screen protector). The new case has more rounded corners and is about 3/8" less in width and height dimensions, almost identical to the case for my S4 that I had for 10+ years. ... show more

This case is what a OtterBox use to be at a third of the price. I bought a OtterBox and returned it because it didn't have a screen protector I found this case and it is just as good if not better than the OtterBox when it had a screen protector. I really like how well it protects the phone. I'm not worried about dropping it on concrete. The side buttons feel perfect and actually easier to use since it's rubberized. Nice added feature is the protected USB port and you won't lose a fingernail trying to open it. I wasn't sure if I'd use the kickstand but after trying it I use it all the time. The front cover fully protects the screen. Also, the assembly and disassembly is very easy to do. Only complaint, and it's small, the screen protector is a fingerprint magnet, but it cleans easily. ... show more

I bought 2 cases for my A53 phones and after 2 weeks of using them I'm pretty happy with them. I read some negative reviews but decided to try them anyway. I think they're as good as the OtterBox Defender for less money. They fit well on the phones, are well built and I like the pullout stand. There are 3 things I'm not happy with. You have to clean the screen protector often, the Edge Panel is difficult to open at times because the screen protector's frame covers part of the tab and there is a small spot on the screen that is dead due to the screen protector probably not making a good contact with the screen. But only on 1 phone. Yes, I would still recommend this case and would buy them again. ... show more

    • Great Case: Solution to Side Buttons

This is a great protective case! I recommend it to those wanting to protect their phone without adding too much bulk to it. The kickstand and case holder is a plus to this case. The built-in screen protector is not really necessary since it causes issues with the fingerprint sensor and the side buttons. Solution to the side buttons issue: This irritates me as well when it comes to having a protective case on. What I did was tear off the built-in plastic protector (heating up water on stove, make sure to get it off before it boils, add the screen protector part of the case in the water for 5-6 minutes, tear off the plastic protector). Then I recommend you put on a good glass protector on it and the case should fit nicely on. After that, I had no issue with the side buttons. Hope this helps! Lots of dust collects in the camera area on the screen. And by the buttons it doesn't fully seat in the groove/stay there. Slightly annoying for a perfectionist. But it does the job. Had one of these for my galaxy s8+ and loved it.

I've purchased many of this kind of case over the years, from a few different brand names. One thing in common with all is that the built in screen protector ultimately becomes scratched. Since they do not sell a replacement screen protector I ultimately buy a new case. By the time that happens I'm usually ready for a change anyway. I'm happy with this company because the kickstand is more sturdy and better built than their competitors. I've had the kickstand break with other companies and while this one is far from invincible, it will last and last with proper care. ... show more
