  • Fits like the original.
This review is on the product it fit like the original and for way cheaper and it does the job. Now for the installation it's a pain! Took me about 30 min to take off the old part and about 2 and a half hours to install the new part get you a 14mm flare nut wrenches and a 17 mm to remove the oil sensor and also a 14mm stuby wrench because there is no room under there you have to do a 1/4 of a turn til its tightened. It's a frustrating process but over all its good product been couple of months and no leaks!! ... show more

  • It’s just like the factory one.
This hose fit perfectly. Some people said they had problems on the other reviews. Remove the airbox hose. Don’t tighten everything down on the new hose until you get the fitting into the rack and pinion at least started. Works great

  • Decent part, crudy install
This is a review of the part itself and the rating reflects that even though my install was a PAIN. Put it on a 2009 Odyssey. Getting to the connector on the steering pump is ludicrous on this car. I even bought the "line" wrenches necessary so that it could get a better grip on the fitting. I'm pretty mechanical inclined but this is a two person job. One to line up the threads and keep it going straight onto the R-n-P steering and hold it and the the 2nd person to to tighten it down. The part went on easily to the power steering fluid reservoir end and the fitting to the back of the engine. Getting the fitting onto the rack and pinion steering was a nightmare. The issue I had with the part was in tightening it down on the R-n-P steering side. I put about as much force as I could get on the fitting nut to tighten it. That took the better part of 3-4 hours per my frustration listed above with the actual install. After 4-5 days it started leaking again and I was not dealing with it again. I took it to my trusted mechanic. He called later and said he just backed it out some and tightened it down once more. He thinks he got about another 1/4 turn on it than I had. Only charged me for his time, $50, thankfully. There is no o-ring on the R-n-P side of the fitting so its just a compression. At least I didn't strip the threads which I swore was going to happen with as much force as I had to put on it. That could say something about the metal composition of the part being pretty strong. ... show more

  • Fits good
So far so good. Fits perfect on my 2010 odyssey. I put 4 star due to the aluminum part not painted black for extra protection.

  • This hose fits. No joking. it's fine
It's really a well-made hose. Not in an easy installation. I had my old fittings come apart easily, got really messy and took me an hour and 45min start to finish. I'm not a noob but not a mechanic either. The compression fittings are always a bit fiddly for me, brake line, this hose, whatever. Secret lies in aligning the hose pipe in both axis while finger-turning the CLEAN threads in. Then use the wrench once it grabs too tight for the fingers to advance. I imagine some problems occur as the end picks up debris on the way to the bottom. I see no reason to pay more for this part. When I removed the airbox and hose, the bellows on the intake hose were secretly cracked. I had to order a replacement. Maybe check your intake hose by squeezing and rotating it looking for cracks all the way round. Order both at once for a fast repair. ... show more

  • Fit my 2009 Odyssey perfectly.
This fit my 2009 Odyssey perfectly. It took me about 3 hours to install in my garage with no lift. Some suggestions: Remove the air box/filter assembly first so you can access the hose connection from the top instead of the bottom. I attached a picture from the top looking down showing where the connection is located. It’s a bit of a stretch, but it can be reached. Also, remove the passenger side front wheel to access the clamp on the underside of the van. Those two things let me loosen the connection from the top of the engine compartment and remove the whole assembly through the passenger side wheel well. I also installed it through the wheel well. If you have a lift, this job will be a lot easier, but it can be done in a regular garage with some effort and common tools. Tools I used: Jack/jack stands Needle nose pliers - To remove hose clamps connecting air box. 10mm socket - Most clamp bolts and hose connection on top of the engine. Flat head / Phillips screwdriver - For clamps / air box. 14mm wrench - For hose connection to the power steering unit. 17mm wrench - For power steering switch on the hose. ... show more
