Had this about a month and it's probably the best light alarm clock we've owned so far. There are a lot of buttons, but set up was still easy. It has dial-knob to help select your time/options and I actually find it easier to make selections with. A lot of sound/color options, but we don't use it for sound. Currently being used in our toddler's room to help her know when it's time to get up. Again, not using sound, but the light is super bright and soft. I also like the timer light function. Where you turn on the light (effects and/or sound) to stay on for however long, and turns off. It's a good way to help wind down the night and she gets a night light function that will turn off into the night. You can choose the backlight settings to, which to us, we use as a lower-level night light. Have not connected to phone, but have connected it for charging. No issues.

We were looking for a sound machine with a clock for our bedroom because our baby sleeps in there with us. Excellent bang for your buck!!! 1st-great loud volume-drowns out all noises & helps baby stay asleep. Love that you can dim the clock so it’s not shining super bright in a dark room at night (for all the light sensitive people like me), and you can make it bright during the day. I don’t use the alarm setting because I wake up on my own -or by my baby lol-so there’s no need for it in my house. Also love the night light-can make it bright for middle of the night diaper changes & choose a warm color that won’t wake everyone up. It even has some nature sounds that are very relaxing. The rain & ocean sounds are my fave!!! Even has some lullabies for babies. Lastly, the design is very modern/sleek & goes well with the overall asthetic in my home. Doesn’t take up much space on the dresser either. There are quite a few buttons but I havent had issues because they’re pretty straightforward & I really only use the sound machine, clock and night light. Oh yeah & it’s also a Bluetooth speaker which is super convenient! You get a lot for a really great price!! The only thing I wish they would offer is a version where you could connect to an app on your phone & not have to control the settings manually. But that’s just coming from a tired mom! LOL. Just put it on the nightstand beside your bed & problem solved. I’m considering buying another one for our guest room. If you’re on the fence…JUST BUY IT! You will not regret it!

This is better than the Hatch. I know because I have both & I am still mad at myself a year later for paying almost $200 for nothing more than a sound machine (you have to pay for a subscription to use certain features with Hatch). This sunrise alarm is easy to set up, requires no app or monthly subscription, it has all the same features as the Hatch, BUT this one can also be used as a blue tooth speaker. I definitely recommend this sunrise alarm. The only feature I'd appreciate is if I could easily set it to only wake me on weekdays. You very well may be able to adjust it to certain days, but I haven't figured that out quite yet.

I am picky with alarm clocks: the time display needs to be dimmable, needs 2 alarm settings, adjustable snooze setting, sleep setting with at least white noise and a nightlight function. This handles all my needs, some better than others. The not so great features are: turning off the alarm takes 2 hands, the instructions, and the sound options. Since it is round, to turn it off you need both hands because of the location of the buttons. The instructions leave a lot to be desired and do not adequately review light and sound options available. The sound options are different for the alarm vs. sleep setting and it was a little frustrating trying to figure out. Also, there was no rain/ thunderstorm setting. The great features are: the night light option, the wake up/alarm set up, the white/brown/pink noise options, the snooze button location and the ability to have 2 different pre-set alarms. The night light options are more than adequate for me. The alarm option not only allows you to pick the sound you want to wake to but also choose the lighting and when you hit snooze you can choose for it to apply to just the sound or both sound & lighting. It also lets you adjust the duration between snooze notifications. Falling asleep to pink noise has been lovely and you can choose the duration during set up so it’s just one button to hit to turn on at night. Also, there are several levels of brightness for the time display. In all, I’m really glad I purchased this and have been using it for over a month so far. It would be fun if the night light turned on automatically, but I’m not going to hold that against it.

I heard positive things about sunrise alarm clocks. As someone who struggles with insomnia and disordered sleep, anything to help, I'm game. I set these light only 20 mins ahead of my phone alarm clock, and 10 mins ahead with light and birds chirping. I have started to wake up before the jarring alarm ring, but usually only with the chirping along with the light. It may not be quantifiable, but I've noticed I'm less "jarred" when I wake, including if ultimately to the phone alarm. So it's actually improved my mood in the mornings to be less grumpy. I found it was a worthwhile investment and recommend. Easy to set up, a lot of customization options, so I think it would work for a wide range of people. I have it situated on a slightly large window sill, but could easily find room for its footprint on a dresser for sure, or a non-tiny night stand.

I bought this because I wanted a Bluetooth connection to play nursery music from my phone apps. That works great but when Bluetooth connects and disconnects, a very loud voice announces it. Waking up baby. I can use the sleep timer to stop music after baby falls asleep but it also turns off the night light. There are preset white noise options but you have to click and click to circle through them all until you find the one you want. There is no power off button. U have to unplug the whole device from the wall. This is a great speaker but not for in a babys room.
