Kit was as described. The 1,000 pieces probably includes the tiny sequins. Even so it is a good set in that it gives you everything you need to get started: fabric, tools, mannequins, and templates. When you run out of fabric you can always get remnants. It is basically no sew, but there is cutting involved. Great for older elementary school kids. Made in China.

Unbelievable quality and variety of supplies. The amount and different types of fabric was mind blowing. The kit included needles,pins,jewelry,tape measure, buttons and more to dress the manequines. Crafts of this nature and cost last a day or two. We will definitely get many hours of learning while creating fashional clothes. My twin 5 year olds love it as do i. Grandma.

I got this for my 12 year old daughter. She specifically requested a life size mannequins and the necessary materials and equipment and tools to make fancy dresses. While I am not one to dash my child's dreams, I'm also not okay living in a small apartment with mannequins. I'm not sure I can be jump scared by a mannequin at 3am in my own home remain sane and stable. So we compromised with this kit. With 5 mannequins, even tiny sized, she is content, she can be working on multiple designs at a time. The creativity is endless with how this is set up. You have what you need and you can definitely follow the directions and make those specific dresses, but you can also just use it all for your own creations too. There is a wide variety of things in here, the materials feel nice, you sure get a lot in it for the price too. I just wish this company made variations of this, my kid would go nuts!

I was so surprised when I opened this box and saw how packed it was with fashion goodies! Everything is separated and neatly packaged - 5 mannequins; a pack with pins, scissors, a marker, and fashion tape; one with all kinds of beads, sequins, and sparkles; another with details like pom-poms, lace, and different trims; and a really nice size pack with all different types/colors of material. The instructions are clear and they've even included templates/patterns to make dresses! This set is great for anyone who has good fine motor skills and can work with small items. A younger child definitely needs help, especially since there are scissors, pins, and small pieces. So this is geared toward an older child and any adult who loves creating! The things included in this set can be used for so many other crafts and projects...it's definitely not just for making dresses. I got it for me and I'm an adult who's having a blast with it!! It would be such a great gift for any doll or craft lover, and is such a great value for everything that's included.

This kit is filled with so many items! Our granddaughter loves creating fashion for her dolls. She is 11 and I feel that this is a good kit for that age. It says 6 but unless your 6 year old is already familiar with sewing it may be difficult for them. It is great for a little older because if they choose they can work more independently. All in all it is a good start to engaging the imagination and perhaps starting an interest into fashion and sewing.

I got this kit for my two fashion conscience girls before hurricane milton was forecasted to make landfall as we needed some inside activities. They loved it and I was really impressed with the designs they came up with. What a fun craft, we did themed contests so the whole family got involved. Tons of stuff is included making it a great value.
