Nice bar for my old Trek 830. They put your hands up and in which I really like. Also your wrists are in a more natural position, almost like they would be in the hoods on a drop bar. I actually purchased two of these so both my bikes would have comfortable bars. My one bike is an old ATB that I altered to make a utility bike out of. That one has an adjustable stem which I constantly fiddle with depending on how I want to ride that day. My other bike is already a "comfort" bike, and although it was comfortable when I got it, my hand arthritis progressed to the point that a straight bar tweaked my wrist and thumbs so I put this one on it with foam grips, it's now comfortable and utilitarian. I would like to have nitto bars but these are more affordable and I'm fickle, if I decide to change them I'm not out a lot of money. I don't see myself changing them though. My bikes are set up a little differently from each other so I can swap rides when I want a different position. The mongoose is the old mountain bike. The other bike is a specialized expedition and I put a handlebar extension on it to raise my light and GPS above the cables and to save space. ... show more

I am 58 and have a bike I use to take the dogs for a run every day. I wanted to be more upright, and have my hands closer to my body. I am 6'4" and this handlebar is probably best for smaller bikes. That would be my only suggestion is if you are tall, try and find this bar, but in a bigger size if that even exists. As it is, it did get me up more, and my hands are closer to my body. The price is very good. So, nothing at all wrong with the bar. I am happy with my purchase, and now have a set of measurements I can use to be more accurate next time. ... show more

These are perfect for my Schwinn/Suburban. I was wanting handlebars that were more comfortable with a more upright riding position than the stock bars, these handlebars fit the bill perfectly. There is plenty of room between the bend and the handlebar end to get my grip shifter, brake handles, and thumb throttle control installed (7.5"). Bar diameter is 7/8" at grips, and 1" diameter at clamp point. These are a quality heavy guage steel, mandrel bent handlebars with a beautiful heavy chrome plate. I love these bars, I’ve used them on several conversions from old 10spee drop-down bars to this more comfortable cruiser position. I restore and convert a lot of classic/ vintage 10speeds into city bikes. Most of my buyers are in Brooklyn and they love the look and feel of these handlebars.
