  • Nice Light Bars Mimick Classic 1960s/70s Schwinn Bars with an Advantage
Color: Silver Alloy
Nicely finished aluminum handlebars that imitate perfectly the curves of classic, signature Schwinn bars of the 60s and 70s - with the added advantage that the only significant difference is a longer straight hand-grip area that allows the addition of accessories and twist shifters that cannot be installed beyond the first curve of the bars, and allows these without having to use a shortened grip. This is nice for restoring/modifying old bikes where you want to retain the original style of grip but also want to install gears that use a twist-shifter. (Or you have no other option except the darned twist-shifter.) This means you will slightly shorten the reach from the saddle to the bars, but most people riding this kind of cruiser bike are not very concerned with this. They are also noticeably lighter than the old chrome steel bars even though they are longer. This is a nice size and style of cruiser bars - not the exaggerated, too wide style like some of the curved bars on the market. While these are a convincing replacement for old school bars, the clamp area is slightly wider, so they are okay with threadless stems and quill stems alike. ... show more

  • Very comfortable on my hands
Color: Chrome Plated Steel
I actually purchased two of these so both my bikes would have comfortable bars. My one bike is an old ATB that I altered to make a utility bike out of. That one has an adjustable stem which I constantly fiddle with depending on how I want to ride that day. My other bike is already a "comfort" bike, and although it was comfortable when I got it, my hand arthritis progressed to the point that a straight bar tweaked my wrist and thumbs so I put this one on it with foam grips, it's now comfortable and utilitarian. I would like to have nitto bars but these are more affordable and I'm fickle, if I decide to change them I'm not out a lot of money. I don't see myself changing them though. My bikes are set up a little differently from each other so I can swap rides when I want a different position. The mongoose is the old mountain bike. The other bike is a specialized expedition and I put a handlebar extension on it to raise my light and GPS above the cables and to save space. ... show more

  • Great bars!
Color: Silver Alloy
Very nice bars not cheap feeling and they look really nice too gave me an upright seating position on my charge plug prestige! Fit a 25.4mm Bar clamp perfectly and didn't get all scratched up on installation very east straight forward install also you may need to get longer cables depending on how your build was set up before. ... show more

  • Good product, great price
Color: Silver Alloy
These bars are a classic touring style that really works well and looks good on a city bike, cruiser or, in my case, utility conversion of a mountain bike. They have plenty of straight grip area to take grips, shifters, and brakes, with room for a bell or mojo etc. They feel surprisingly light and strong (they're aluminum alloy), and they fit perfectly in my mountain bike stem. They have good sweep, so a long (traditional) MTB stem works best, but with my 120mm stem they never get anywhere near my knees even in turns. They have a lot of rise, nice for city riding, which also allows you to angle the grips downward for a neutral wrist. Fixie/touring users often flip them over for a comfy, slight drop, swept bar with MTB brakes. Admittedly the finish here is not as sleek and polished as it would be on a Nitto bar, so if you're building a showpiece, be aware, but at this price, for city or utility use, they look nice and shiny, and who's complaining? ... show more

  • Northroad cruiser bar
Color: Silver Alloy
I’m 74 and opt for more upright riding. I also work on a lot of older steel bikes. This has become my go-to bar for upright conversions. It has good rise and a great deal of reachback, but is long enough to be trimmed to any desired reach. I prefer the alloy version, and the finish is flawless.

  • Handlebar feels like the good old days
Color: Silver Alloy
If you’re looking for a classic, upright seating position this handlebar is a must. It sweeps back at just the perfect angle for a comfortable cruising posture, allowing my wrists to not hurt on long rides. It is light weight aluminum and highly polished for performance and style. With the new position, compared to the straight mountain bike bar, I needed to put on longer cables for the controls, and it was a great reason to upgrade my twist shifters and grips as well. I love my bike; now I can really enjoy it with the Sunlite Northroad Touring handlebar. ... show more

  • Light, strong, and easy
These handlebars fit trigger shifters or rotary-brake combo shifters. However, most rotary shifters except for SRAM's Shorty don't fit. Other than that little caveat, these handlebars will stop a backache, add some performance, and of course they'll add a lot of comfort. A Wald Steel version is available that does fit rotary shifters with seperate brake levers. However, this Pyramid alloy version will make your bike lighter. Note: Their optional use is drop bars for a mountain bike whereby these would go upside down and wrapped with bar tape--stuck out on the end of a long riser stem. This provides a wide variety of grip points and a lot of double-takes. ... show more

  • Inexpensive but rust easily
Color: Chrome Plated Steel
I bought the chrome plated steel option because they were inexpensive. They have been stored out of the elements and kept clean/dry but rusted in less than a year.
