One of our sons was inquiring the other day about how hard it would be to raise chickens and also breed them from scratch. Well, we found this item and it is reasonable in cost and does the job very nicely. You can choose from this item for 16 eggs to breed or another one that does 12 eggs. We gave him the one which does 16 eggs and he was thrilled. This unit turns the eggs, keeps them warm, and is very convenient to operate. The next step for our son is to build a chicken coop, but he has already started that project in anticipation of the eggs hatching. We highly recommend this unit if you have the space to take care of the young chicks as they grow. Perfect item to give as a gift or use yourself in this age of high priced eggs and checkens!

easy to use and set up. i have 12 eggs on right now and so far so good they are all fertile and growing. looking forward to the little chicks that will hatch in just a few more days. this incubator turns the eggs and holds the temperature and humidity though there isn't a humidity gage to tell you what it is. the clear case let you see what is going on and will allow you to watch the hatch.

As soon as I unpacked this today, I read instructions and got it completely set up and loaded it with 16 fresh fertilized eggs and I love that it’s clear so I can keep an eye on the day to day, I wrote in my calendar for today as day 1 and in 5 days wrote down that its the 1st time to check eggs, again at day 11, and finally if all goes well I wrote down on day 18 to remove the egg turning tray and change temperature, so my fingers are crossed and the waiting has already started
